Poll: Prison or Space?

Prison, because the Canadian prison system is ridiculously lenient and I could pretty much do anything I could do out of prison in prison.

As Long as I'm adequately fed and watered and have access to some form of waste disposal, a year in space sounds appealing. A little insanity never hurt anyone...

Because this is hypothetical, and it hasn't been said otherwise, I presume the space option has failsafes in place to avoid mishaps. If I'm confident in the methods to get me up there and back, then I wouldn't have an issue with a year just to me and myself.

Prison. My muscles wouldn't atrophy, the food would be better, you didn't mention a bathroom in space, modern space exploration equipment is essentially held together with bailing wire and tape, you can escape from prison, it would look really gay to tattoo a star under the corner of your eye instead of a teardrop when you shank a guy in space.


Edit: I might pick space if there were prison guards for me to annoy with a daily "PIIIIIIIGS IIIIIN SPAAAAAAAACE!!!" joke.

It depends on what I would have with me in space. I might go crazy if all I had was a computer and the window, but if you gave me paper and pencils, I could do physics and draw and keep myself occupied, plus looking out the window would be awesome. If I really had nothing, then space I guess.

On topic: Prison, especially if it's in my own country given that we have TV and alot more perks here in prison. Also never really heard prison rape stories from my country

Prison here is better than some hotels. It doesn't at all discourage people from breaking the law, it seems >.>
I'd go for space.
I have a fear of strangers/being around people, so I'd freak out if I had to go to prison for a year.
But I could be alone in space, just myself and my mind.
Sure, I might go a bit insane, but less than if I had to spend a year surrounded by convicts.

Space. I'm very good with passing time in solitude. Around people I despise, not so much. I'd kill somebody in prison, and then it would be more than a year.
