Hey! With my new abundance of free time I've decided to start another RP but I'm juggling ideas at the moment. This is inspired by Rayonson's thread, along with Hiel's and Ascelpion's own interest threads. I'm just going to give a summary of each of the RP's and I'll give info for the ones that you ask for the most and what not. Any criticisms or suggestions are welcome.

In the distant future, humanity has bounded across the stars and laying seeds of their civilizations in form of massive cities and colonies. Nations have claimed their own star systems and brought their borders along with them.
On the planet Dia, a bloody civil was has erupted engulfing the resource-rich region in conflict. One fights for reunification and the other for independence with more major players in the background, keeping a close watch on the fight. But when an incident forces one of the watching powers to intervene, a multinational peacekeeping force is sent to the planet to cease the fighting.
The major nations left standing have acclimated into ruling space as opposed to earth and their names have changed along with it.

This is going to be a more combat-focused RP and since it isn't PVP there are some more liberties allowed but of course some balance is going to be reinforced.
The Troops to choose from
Every professional soldier of the future are using either armored exoskeletons or advanced body armor but each nation still has distinguishing characteristics and aesthetics. With the exception of the Renmi, IFV's and Main Battle tanks have been replaced with more versatile Mech suits usually piloted by a single pilot but all the more effective.
Actual UFS ground troops are few and far between but what few boots on the ground they have make up for the numbers. Each soldier is equipped advanced armor unlike anything in all the other nations and trains extensively to be their own unit. A single UFS soldier is dangerous while a small squad of UFS soldier can wreck absolute havoc. Although on most combat operations only small squads are deployed consisting of only three soldiers. The UFS's strong sense of individualism is evident in their tactics and organization almost to the point of "Combat Darwnism", a term coined by the Union in regards to the UFS combat doctrine. They rarely welcome outside help but are fiercely loyal to whomever can "keep up".
The most distinguishing factor of the UFS is the extensive use of combat drones since usually they don't have the manpower for back up. Their combat drones are piloted at base rather than on the field for maximum effectiveness and for the safety of the operators.
Renmi forces operate with bare equipment and sometimes low-tech to make up for having such a large pool of manpower. Obviously, not all Renmi soldier can have the advanced armor that the UFS has but they give their basic infantryman the next best and maybe the second best thing. Renmi soldiers are trained with unit cohesion in mind and they build off each other rather than trying to outperform one another. The Renmi work in larger numbers than other nations and are less effective when there are only a handful to work with at a time. Roles in a unit are more emphasized leading to specialized soldiers for squads like Pointmen or Marksmen.
Union forces make extensive use of exoskeletons integrated into their body armors making for strong and sturdy soldiers. The most famous of all Union forces are the Union marines who fight aboard the ships and are the first to lead away teams along with any boarding action. Union marines are usually experienced and more combat-worthy of their ground forces making them a good choice for intimidation along with actual fighting. Union marines are trained to be tactically flexible and versatile allowing for their ship commanders to send them out whenever action needs to be taken without worrying about transporting regular troops from star systems away.
Unlike regular ground troops, Union marines are usually commanded by either a squad leader then, the captain of the ship they are stationed on although the situation on Dia has foreign commanders lead them for the most part.

It would have been the largest of all the nations if it wasn't for a major pandemic that took the lives of many citizens. A pandemic caused by an alien virus found on a planet not thoroughly inspected before colonizing. When patient zero was found, the virus had spread to a number of their core planets and infected millions of people.
When the virus was cured only half of the UFS' colonies remained standing which prompted one of the UFS' more noticeable advantage over all the other nations. The mechanization of almost everything capable of being manned. Three quarters of UFS labor is electronic or robotic making the UFS one of the more scientifically advanced of all the remaining nations. Their military are also largely robotic with heavily armored drones and agile combat droid leading the way in their conflicts. The largest of all colonies is set up on a once rich planet of Wei but now the entire planet is host to a single city roughly the size of the continental United States. The Renmin care mostly about profit at the end of the day and are willing to risk the lives of its citizens in order to turn a margin in the markets. But the Renmin are also known for their sheer determination.

Although grouped together, they favor their own individual nationalities as compared to the UFS who see themselves completely as UFS or the Renmin who see themselves completely as Renmin, one can be part of the Union but call themselves German for example.

The big rivalry might be between the UFS and the Renmin which leaves some room for the Union to carve their own piece of the universe. Day 10
They came during the day but when they reached us it was night. We slew as many as we could but we lost the outer wall and now the inner walls are breaching as I write this. Our arrows and swords barely affect them. It is nearly impossible to see two paces in front of me. One can only see their red eyes. Their deathly eyes glow so bright in the dark. It is the only way to see them but once you've seen them up close you are already dead. These things bring the darkness with them and hell follows closely. They are heading north... towards the Great city. I pray that the Emperor's forces can hold them. My dear Tess... you may never get this message but it brings me great solace that I love you. I pray that I will see you above.
The darkness comes... only shadows follow.... night is brought to bear on the light. Who can end this plight?
It is the 10th year of Empress Aela's reign. She holds all the power in her land but even that pales in comparison to the plague that lurches towards her great city. A broken blood pact with the unholy demons has awakened the most feared being of them all. The dreaded necromancer. Day by day the unholy plague marches through the land, killing everything it touches and turning its inhabitants into undead nightmares. Orcs, Elves, Dwarves and humans alike have fallen victim to the plague's advance.
Help from the other kingdoms are scarce, fearful of the necromancer's reign. The Northern Orc kingdoms figure the Empire of Man to be the only kingdom that the necromancer seeks to destroy but the Elves of the south argue for containment. The Dwarves have only been the kingdom to send help thus far, experiencing a similar outbreak when excavating deep into the caverns below. The Dwarves send their fearless warriors and automatons to help humanity but it is only a matter of time. Neither musket or pike have significantly stopped the advance so far.

Desperate, Empress Aela has called upon the Valley's most bravest mercenaries for a journey east towards the mountains to escort the dwarven secret to defeating the horde. The dwarvish nobles have agreed to relinquish their secrets to the Empire of Man so as to stop the reign of the Necromancer once more.
Now it is up to the Empress' mercenaries to fetch the secret while her remaining troops prepare for the Necromancer's horde of undead warriors.

Long ago, the Orcs settled in the valley to the north of the fruitful crescent. Up until the Valley, they were largely nomadic and followed big game into the valley. Much to their surprise, their game stopped moving out of the valley so they stopped moving as well.
The Orc tribes were strong warrior cultures that fed off of mostly meat so hunting was a necessity. They were united under one leader, a large and intelligent Orc by the name of Ortho. Ortho reunited the tribes to form one collective kingdom as opposed to a number of scattered tribes. The Orcs consider him their greatest leader and the Orc kingdom grew.
Sadly Ortho's son, Ove brought about a terrible war with the elves of the south resulting in the deaths of millions of orcs in the process. The elves also suffered as they lost a large swath of land along with thousands of elven lives as well. Elves and the Orcs are still resentful of each other and are continue to be wary of each other.

When Covus died, the lands fell to his generals and a civil war followed after. The civil war has long settled but the Empire of man pales in comparison to their status in the past. Its territories outside the valley remain long forgotten but perhaps its secrets yield a cure for the oncoming plague.

The elves have been in the valley for as long as the humans, and orcs have but because of their nature, they consider themselves much more entitled to the valley due to their connection with nature.
