Alright guys and gals I recently have been having issues with the mail, more specifically United States Postal Service(USPS).

I recently ordered a TV series(both seasons for $12.50 WOOO!) for myself and I got the confirmation, tracking #, and delivery date. For five days it has been marked as delivered and I never got it. No package, no notice, no nothing. Checked their website and sent them an email and have yet to hear back.

Also I routinely find my NRA mail has been tampered with if not opened completely.

So my question to you is:
Have you ever had an issue with your mail? Someone open your stuff? Lost in transit? Mail truck hit your car? Kick your dog?

I'm just mad because it makes no sense to me to mark something as "Delivered" when it hasn't been delivered. And I don't like people f***in' with my mail >:O

I don't see why not. Added "My mail service likes being dumb" for you, if that fits.

I don't usually have any issues other than personal impatience. But that makes it all the sweeter when my item arrives anyway, so it's kind of a bonus.

On a relevant note, my one of these [http://muse.mu/shop/product/40/mens-nebula-faces-tour-t-shirt-may-july-2007/menu/20/clothing/] arrived a few hours ago. I love it :D

My halls of residence used to get our mail delivered to ot's site office then not tell us for months and months, not really Royal Mail's fault though.

The one that really annoys me is the company that delivers for amazon. They seem to have this thing against students, so if they're running late they'll assume you're not in and not bother trying to deliver. Bastards.

They do?! The service is so crap, I never notice if they strike or not...

OT: Thankfully, I've never really had a problem with deliveries, no tampering, so I guess I'm quite lucky. A couple of late deliveries, but with Amazon's super saver, what would you expect.

A few years back a friend who was some sort of manager at the head office of Games Workshop was going to send me about $300 worth of Warhammer 40k packs because she was given them as samples and didn't need them for anything.
They never arrived. :(

Two major occasions come to mind:

I bought a used DS from some Texan knob on eBay. Idiot put the DS in a rather flimsy cardboard envelope with no protection whatsoever. So obviously, the plane ride to Canada did a serious number on the package, the envelope being torn open and the charger falling off. So I received a seriously damaged DS with no charger with a torn envelope in a sealed bag with Canada Post's "sincerest apologies". That wasn't CP's fault per se, but I was still pissed off.

The second time was recently when I sent my job and school papers to my dad who makes my tax declarations (yay). The envelope with those very precious documents took three motherfucking weeks to get to him. He lives 50 km from my place. Since we thought the documents were lost, I had to get another copy of each of these papers, and I assure you it's a pain in the ass. And of course, when I had finally gotten all papers, lo and behold, my dad received the original envelope. Thank you, Canada Post!

Gotta contact USPS to find out why they think it's okay to tamper with my mail. I don't think anything will come of it, but if it causes the culprit to stop and think twice that will have to be enough I suppose.

Yes, but not for me - the former occupant of my house still gets mail coming to this house now and then, after me being in here for seven fucking years.

On a quite related note, Canada Post (the Canadian mail service) is going on strike June the 3rd, so that's going to screw things up. I hope it gets resolved quickly.

The system for tracking packages is generally sucky so you don't know when or if your package is going to arrive.

Not many incidents, considering how many games I've ordered from England(I live in Sweden), but once my mail had been opened. If it was the tull I think they would've put a post on it saying that it had been checked, but there wasn't any - so I guess the mail man just got curious about why I got about one package a week.
Once a game was pretty smashed up as well, however, that was probably just from when the mail gets tossed around.

Oh, and when I ordered Wow: Cataclysm from England it took a month before it arrived after being sent. That was pretty damn annoying. It usually takes a week for a game to arrive otherwise.

Just slow delivery in a couple of cases with the Royal Mail, and when I was in Russia their service took about 6 weeks to process a book and a pair of gloves through customs.
