Being a poor sod who doesn't own a PS3, I'd probably go with Prototype but with restrictions. First of all, a coherent narrative for the next one is a must, and get rid of Alex Mercer. Or at least change his voice actor, whoever did his voice drove me insane.

Infamous 2.

I played both Infamous and Prototype and found i enjoyed Infamous more due to how tight the game play was. With Infamous i actually felt like i was growing in power throughout the game becoming more and more adapt with my abilities and becoming a lightning god. As well i enjoyed hoping and climbing around buildings more then simply running over them because it meant every building in infamous had to have a great amount of detail.

Seeing how I never played Infamous and it being Sony exclusive, Prototype.
Hell, it was fun running around with an oversized sword and shield looking like a badass.
Though with armor on it reminded me of my Rakion days..

Neither. Infamous = PS3, Prototype's developers are jerks that are too lazy to make a single patch for a broken game. They don't deserve a penny from me.

I would go for Infamous. I liked the abilities and all the crazy shit that Alex Mercer can do in Prototype, but the overall design, story, and voice acting killed it for me.

I don't have a PS3, so I only played Prototype. But even so, I think that Infamous might be better than Prototype if only for the story. Prototype had a plot that managed to be simultaneously complex and boring. I've lost count of how many times I was 1 inch away from a web target and then because I accidentally bumped into him with a shield, he died. And the army have this wonderful habit of killing your target. And then you have to wait for a few minutes. And then he dies again.

What fun,eh?

I liked Prototype's ridiculous running up walls better than Cole's jumping up walls (because that's what climbing in Infamous felt like to me), but I'm hoping they've improved things a little for the sequel, and it is a prettier game than Prototype. I'm more interested to see Infamous 2 than prototype 2 at this point, but I'm not going to play favourites too seriously until I have more info on both.

Infamous 2. However, I really don't think its Cole whos the main character, unless lightning causes reverse ageing.

Didn't play Infamous, but I'd like to see more story from Prototype, especially regarding Pariah. So yeah, a Prototype 2 would be awesome.

Prototype was the ultimate of not sacrificing the gameplay for better graphics, more powers, more enemies

where else can you destroy a helicopter with a burnt out tank while wall running or kill zombie hordes with a shopping cart running at 40mph

in one month prototype (best selling 360 game of the month) out sold infamous by 51,300 units when compared to infamous total sales over a 2 month period

I owned and played both. Still, I want me some Prototype 2. I would've loved to have seen Santa Monica Studios take on the sequel. But, oh well, one can dream.

In the mean time, I'll probably check out inFamous 2 when it comes out.
