Ok, I really hate comparisons between the two. That said, I've only played Prototype, and really do want to play inFamous, as it looks stellar as well.

I may have a bias, but Prototype always looked more exciting to me... and it certainly felt it, too.
Played both. On the same PS3, no less. [Prototype] is about a million times better, because it doesn't have MORAL CHOICES shoved down my throat, and a more engaging play style than "throw electricity grenade". I TRIED to play the damn game without Electricity Grenades, and you actually can't do it.DRUNK_CANADIAN said:

I actually liked Mercer. I felt bad for him, and it made me want to piece together the entire story.
Have u tried using the electricity rockets? they are way more effective than those grenades.Chipperz said:

Also, both of the games are great, they both have their merits, inFamous is an exclusive so its bound to have less votes.
Il say prototype is more fun though. And i don't like the whole You must be catastrophically evil or cartoonishly righteous thing to get any good powers.
But at the end of the day, in inFamous you can call lightning down from the sky and control it with the sixaxis, which was TOTALLY awesome from my point of view.
Please, no more versus topics about Infamous and Prototype. YES, they are both sandbox games, having superhuman powers. THAT'S IT! Other than that fact, they play completely different and cater to different types of gamers.
Hell, even I who has a PS 3 who can afford both of them see them in completely different terms. They're not clones. This is my summary to both to which category you want to go to.

inFAMOUS

- all about conduits (people who have supernatural powers)
- all about the ranged weaponry
