Howdy y'all I'm starting to get bored with Black Ops and AC:B (I put easily 72 hours into each). What should be the next online multiplayer game I get for my PS3?

If you haven't already, try Metal Gear Online. Seeing as Metal Gear Solid 4 is really cheap nowadays, you get a lot of value for your coin.

And yes I have tried it. As a Socom Fanboy, your reaction will vary from like to bad. At least thats going based on Podcasts/socom forums. But I personally love it.
MGO is great, but almost fanatic these days. But it is still something that everyone should experience. And I hate to be "that guy", but I would whole-heartedly recommend MAG. It has a large, active community and is a very approachable game. Definitely a great online title there.

And yes I have tried it. As a Socom Fanboy, your reaction will vary from like to bad. At least thats going based on Podcasts/socom forums. But I personally love it.

well i'm generally open minded going into games, as long as it keeps the "Tactical" aspect of the 3rd person shooter, i'm sure i'll like it.

I had a lot of fun playing Red Dead Redemption online, especially with all the expansions.
Also, I'm not sure if it counts, but Demon's Souls has a weird yet appealing online component.

I´ve been playing a lot of FIFA 11 and Resident Evil 5 online. Resi has a healthy number of players online if you take in consideration that it´s a game that´s been around for a while. FIFA is great fun, but the EA servers sometimes crash :-S
Lol good taste, that was without question my favorite ever online experience. I still play from time to time but the lag was so preposterous last time I was on it scared me off for a while. I'll have to dust it off again and see how bad the lag is now.-Zen- said:

Don't get me wrong, the story is great I love me some MGS convoluted story, but online was pretty meh.
op:The beta for Socom4 has been really enjoyable. It's miles above confrontation. It does use the MAG engine as it zipper interactive, but it's a smooth tps (sans the melee, but it seems only CoD can get that (sort of) correct nowadays)
You could always wait for Brink or DNF or Battlefield if you're skeptical about all of those.
