I have large hands with long fingers so the 360's controller is more comfortable to me. My hands start to ache after a few hours on the ps3 because of the way I have to hold it to be able to press the buttons.

For me it depends on what type of game your playing. The 360 controller works for most games that require real time skill and dexterity like fps's and action adventure games. The Ps3 controller handles better for games (and gamers) that require more contemplative controls like rpg's and platforming. The PS controller hasn't changed in 3 generations so it's been a constant but the 360 is still new and as I play with it more and more, i get a deep appreciation for for how intuitive it's developers were in matching what gamers need for high performance games. Particularly I have to point out the placement of the analogues and the D-pad, It's really a large improvement for the optimization of eye-hand coordination and if the PS3 were to adopt it, it would even this argument out down to pure aesthetics.

The PS3 is my favourite console, but there's no doubt in my mind that the 360 has a superior controller.

PS2 controller, so i guess the ps3 controller as well.
I just find the xbox controller bulky, unwieldy, and unnatural to use.
Then again I don't really play xbox at all so my preference may just be due to familiarity with the playstation.

The 360 controller hands down the PS3 controller is an absolute abortion it's too light and feels like it could snap at any second.

ps3 has a better feel, easier to reach buttons, and smoother triggers, 360 controller is a bit too big for it to feel natural for me, although both dont get close to a gamecube controller

I find my fingers slip off the bottom of the triggers on the PS3 controller. But that might just be in part lack of practice
With each controller, I had only one complaint, both easily fixed by an add-on purchase. The 360 had me picking up the $20 wireless adapter kit and the PS3 had me picking up a pair of $5 "PS3 Dual Triggers" off of Amazon.

The triggers work great. They snap onto the PS3 triggers and then you can forget all about the one major design flaw of the PS3 controller.

The Xbox 360 controller, if we are choosing solely between those two. I've used Xbox controllers for most of my modern generation gaming, so the design is most ergonomic with my hands.

..But the Gamecube controller fucking kicks them both out of the water, end game.

PS3 controller. I like to have the joysticks properly placed. The Xbox is a great console 'n' all, but my left hand starts to fall asleep after 30-ish minutes, and I get cramps if I use it for more than an hour =/

I prefer the 360 controller. My hands are kind of big, so it just feels a lot better holding it.
Besides, I really like the trigger buttons a lot better; they just feel more precise than the PS3 ones. My fingers tend to slip off them.

The 360 controller has a better weight and fits my ginormas hands better, I always feel like I'm going to snap my DualShock 3 in half when I use it (Which back on my original PS, I had done in fits of rage.) That and I like the triggers a helluva lot more.
This, except I've never snapped any controllers.

This whole thread seems to be:

"Well I own both systems, and I don't even like playing "system A" because of the controller but the controller for "system B" fits in my hand perfectly."

I used to own shit with the gigantic original Xbox controller. Hell, you put any controller in my hands, I'll own shit. All the people arguing are really just disgusting fanboys.

Compared to the ugly, gargantuan XBOX controller, the 360 is a god send. I don't have a PS3 so I don't have much expertise, but from what I've played on PS3 both are about equal.

The PS3 controller is small in my hands and feels cheap and fragile. Which is funny, since the controllers I have have endured longer than my 360 ones.

However, I will totally take the 360's controller every time. I was never big on the PS setup, but it was my main console inboth the PS1 and 2 days, so I had to deal.

360 easily. It's larger, it feels more natural and I prefer the triggers. It also looks better.

Xbox. The analog sticks are natural, easier to use the trigger and shoulder buttons and naturally fits your hand.

Keyboard, mouse, Playstation controller, Xbox controller, they're all good.
