Poll: PS4 Fanboys

Well to be fair quite a few console to PC ports are done very badly, with only the bare minimum of work done, resulting in some parts that should work not working correctly.

And that's why we're the best elitists. Because even when we act smug we're somewhat right. Silly console gamers trying to be elitists... Yes we're so superior that we can be elitist about our elitism.

It is not your preference but your over the top reaction to some one dissenting that makes it fanboyism.

Then why did you only target 'PS4 fanboys' with this thread? Pretty sure Xbox One and WiiU fanboys have been just as bad and just as vocal.

Xbone fanboys have been pretty quiet, sure now and again one or two pop up but they are always shouted down, Wii U fanboys once again are on the quiet side (and their console of choice has actually been released). PS4 fanboys on the other hand are loud/obnoxious (please, any gamer who hasn't been living in a hole for the past few months knows the things PS4 has promised not to do), quickly growing in number (Console isn't even out yet), and usually supported by the gaming community due to the Xbones failings. Besides Xbone and Wii U threads have been done to death.

I can understand fanboys of video games to some extent. But I never understood fanboys of hardware. Those guys will go to extreme lengths and even hurt themselves defending a piece of electronics. It's insane. Just buy what you think is better for you.

I'm sure they'd be annoying if they weren't right. Normally, the whole "my console could beat up your console"
"Nuh-uh, your console has confusing architecture" "That just makes it more powerfuller than yours" thing is pretty pointless. This time, PS4 fanboyism is a little harder to tell from basic common sense. I mean, acting like it's the damn god-king of gaming machines because it avoided making completely rock-stupid at best decisions is a little extreme. They are charging for a subscription to their console network, hardware wise their isn't really much difference (as in, enough of a gap for anyone to really tell at a glance which console a multi-platform is running on), the facebook button is retarded as all hell, so yeah, not the greatest thing ever by a longshot. But most of the current posts are less "PS4 is teh greetest" and more "It seems competent and isn't trying to viciously fuck me so I guess it should win", which isn't really fanboyism.
