Gotta love dogs. Always have, always will. Getting a puppy taught me plenty of lessons when I was growing up like how to care for another living thing, how to keep it healthy and when the time comes how to deal with loss. And while I believe you can do the same with cats, I just don't like them as much. Dogs are always much more friendly in my experience, they leave a bigger impact in my opinion. Also you don't see many people walking their cats do you?

Kittens, for sure.

I love puppies and dogs but there is nothing more adorable than a sweet little inquisitive kitten. :3

My cat Oscar was an adorable kitten, pouncing on my fingers, fitting in the palm of my hand and curling up on my lap.

I miss him, he was killed by a bull terrier two weeks ago. :(
Twice today The Escapist managed to break my heart. In the same topic too. I'm sorry for your loss. My cat Charles died seven years ago. I never want to have another pet again.

Kittens are nice, but puppies actually love you. Plus, they smell better.

Well, in terms of pure cuteness, nothing beats teacup pigs:

Actually, no, rodents do:

Oh, and baby pandas are also really adorable!:

And just look at the baby sheep!:

Yeah...I think I'm getting off track.

Anyways, of the two: kittens. They aren't necessarily cuter, but they sure are more entertaining.

Still...

I'll see your collection of mostly common animals and raise you a baby sea otter:

When the little pups get abandoned in the wild and rescued for rehabilitation it's some peoples actual job to constantly cuddle and fluff up those little guys until the tests have been run and they can pass them off to a proper foster mother to raise. At the Monterey Bay aquarium in California for the pups sake they've learned to wear welding masks when working with them so the baby can't make eye contact and form a dependent bond with the human.

In terms of cuteness I could never choose, I just want to be swamped by a metric ton of kittens and puppies. Both will make my IQ drop by a 100 points when I get near either of them.

However, kittens are usually less loud (not necessarily more quiet though). Cats in general are easier to handle for me, it's an autism thing. Hence I'll go with kittens.

However, don't forget these little darlings:

The better question is which one looks better dressed up as super heroes?
That's a funny was of saying "Disney Princesses", my friend... ;P

OT: I can't decide... because neither one are "my type" of animal... So, I'll just leave this video as my answer:

Red Panda cub is genuinely confused as to why he hasn't been mentioned yet.

Everything is equally cute. But kittens are more equal.

What? But cats actually don't have body odor...do they?

As for this question clearly the answer is baby birds:

Dogs > Cats. Always.

Cats are a monumental waste of everyone's time, as far as I'm concerned. Frickin' ungrateful sacks of shit.

I'm sad for you :(. We almost lost out elder cat a few years ago. He needed to go to the vet but was very much against the idea, and decided to break out of his carry-cage just outside the vets and legged it (he is a robust cat). Spent three days walking around the allotments out the back of the vets calling for him (got bad sunburn and spent a number of hours wishing we'd given him a normal cat name). Finally came out of hiding around midnight of day three (was a Friday). So happy. Never driven a car with a free roaming cat in before. Difficult.
Thank you.

At least you found him!

What was the name? I hope it was something terribly embarrassing to yell in public.

I tried to bring Oscar in the car once without a cage. He'd been really calm when he was a kitten so I figured adult Oscar would be similarly calm and collected in a moving vehicle. Didn't even make it out of the driveway.

He's Aztec. It isn't a terrible name (he seems to like it), but I think after three days the allotmenters were pretty sick of it.

This is him as a youngster:

He weighs a stone now. Ate himself into a hernia a few weeks after we got him. Self-regulation my arse.
That's a pretty good name!

I'm not sure that I've ever seen a cat in that position, he kind of looks like he belongs at a rave.

That's an oldish photo of Oscar. Is this how parents feel when they share photos of their kids?

You filthy kitty lovers, puppies are way more adorable than kitties.

I mean, look at this.

How can you not melt by the sheer adorableness of it all?
:) Aww...

x) Okay, I see your puppy who doesn't want a bath, and raise you;

For the record though,

I went with Puppies, but only because I have a kitten and hes driving me crazy. Hes up all night every night tearing through my apartment knocking stuff over, he also has this weird deal with pulling stuff out of cabinets and drawers. Last week he pulled a Nongshim Ramen cup out of the kitchen cabinet, tore it open and brought it to me like he wnated me to heat it up for him or something.

Next I walk in to find him rolling around the living room wrapped around a bottle of sushi vingear. This morning he, for once, ignored a roll of toilet paper I left out and instead pulled a roll of duct tape out of my tool drawer and tore it apart.

I don't understand cats.
I think he brought the ramen to you with the thought: "Yoo like these noms right? Here I already killeded it for yoo and everything!"

Kittens are like small children; they just love destroying things because they can.
