I don't like rap firstly because I am admittedly rather close-minded and so I see most of it as cliché themes about staying together (Not Afraid, or whatever it's called by Eminem) or whatever. Also, quite a lot of it is just about the image the artists have e.g. surrounded by barely dressed women and lots of bling.
Lastly, there generally isn't much of it which is actually inspirational and actually make you really appreciate the talent and effort that has gone into it.
The only rap I really like is Rage Against the Machine, which is rap/metal and has some really awesome musicians instead of beats that was generated on a computer (well I did say I was close-minded)
So to put it simply, it just doesn't float my boat.
