Last week I purchased a copy of Shin Megami Tensei IV. However, when I took off the shrink wrap from the game, I noticed that the slip case looked like it was crushed. Seriously upset about it, I quickly sent to Atlus' customer support an email with pictures of the damage in hopes to get a replacement. So far I have only received on reply back saying something along the lines of "we are working out the logistics for doing replacements of packaging materials for SMTIV at the moment" (in those exact words). So I am now waiting on another email hopefully for that mess to get settled. I am really getting tired of cardboard slip cases for games in general mostly because of the wear and tear reasons. I am seriously considering tossing out my current slip case right now because I hate looking at it. I am a bit OCD when it comes to my game cases. What so I do: Keep the case or Toss it.

Where did you buy it from?

I know GS is pretty chill, at least the ones I've been to, with replacing your damaged one with a used one that's in better shape.

Bought it from a local store called "Otto's." The problem is that it is the slip case that is damaged and I am pretty sure they don't have used copies of SMTIV in stock yet and if it comes with the slip case.

Same thing happened to me. The extras were a fucking disaster.

It's really a shame because I was looking forward to the game, and it's really fun to play.

I ordered my copy from Amazon, and the cardboard slip cover was pretty beat up.

That is why I really want Atlus to send me a replacement. If I had caused the damage to the case myself, I wouldn't be contacting their costumer support, but since I didn't cause the damage I want my replacement. I can't look at the case and not feel disgusted by it(again a little bit OCD here).
