Poll: Reading hidden posts.

I do. sometimes, when I see "person got suspended for___" I click and see usually to learn what not to post/see what got this guy in trouble but they are usually just one word answer or something boring like that

Always. They might not have anything worth saying, but they could have been banned for other posts or perhaps unjustly (in my opinion). It's worth looking...

It's the best way to learn. Both what not to do, and what the mods are doing wrong. Also, I'm simply morbidly curious.

On another forum I read all the locked threads so much for so long that I knew the rules so well after a point that they made me a mod

I always read hidden posts if only to see why they are hidden.

I second this, and I usually never get why that was necessary.

I definitely read them, to find out why. Occasionally I am confused as to why the specific post got the person suspended/banned when it appeared quite reasonable, but then when I find a later post by them in the thread it becomes clear that the mod just pointed to the wrong post as the reason.

It's a good way of learning a lesson. Sometimes I see people blocked for very minor things, or things that I can't decipher at all, and that makes me very careful and sometimes stops me posting for a while. I think that while the strictness of The Escapist is a nice thing to have in order to protect us from dicks, it can also be a liability, and puts off some normal posters

I read them all the time, sometimes I wonder why some of them were banned, but most of them I agree that they should be banned. Just like the people who comment on a 5 minute video less than a minute after it is posted.

Yeah, I click on hidden posts as I am curious as to what the poster has written. It's like if you see a big red button and there is a sign that says "Do not push" and you really want to push it just to see what would happen. That's the feeling I always get when I see "[user] has been suspended for this post" or "This post is blocked".

Before the new rules, when people would be temporarily put on probation, I'd never read those posts that got them probated. However, since they're a lot more uncommon, I usually read everyone I come across and follow ones where people were suspended.
