This as well as Kid Icarus, Paper Mario and few other titles as well.Kagim said:The next Kingdom Hearts is coming out for it.
Yes, that is the only reason.
Yes, I realize that makes me a whore. I care not. I need to get me some Kingdom Hearts.
This is exactly why I plan on getting it, and why not? Now that these games are portable you can play them anywhere. On a bus, on a plane, in class, the options are limitless.Kasurami said:Although me to reiterate this to you in the most eloquent of fashions.
Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64 with fresh visuals.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that. I'm going to wait a bit for this one to come down in price and what not, I'm still getting plenty of game time with my DS lite and it would be silly to just buy a whole new system for some games.migo said:It's reminding me a bit of the PS3 in this aspect. The PS2 was the best selling console of all time, and the PS3 had nothing, so people just kept buying PS2s. I suspect people will keep buying the DS Lite or DSi for quite a while, and therefore devs will keep making DS games to appeal to the largest possible audience.
Yes it does. Look at the reason they won.V8 Ninja said:Because it's a Nintendo handheld. So far they've won against every competitor that has stood in there way, and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.
You have some good points, but we still don't know two big factors about the NGP; the price and the battery life. The only hint that we've been given about these two factors is that the NGP won't cost as much as the PS3 when it started, and that's still a pretty big gap considering the starting price for the PS3 was 500 American dollars.migo said:Yes it does. With the DS Lite easily down to $100 and the DSi to $150, if you're going to be spending $250, you're already splurging, at which point an extra $100-$200 is justified if it gets you more of what you want (see the people who will spend $600 on an iPad). Sure, we don't know the price yet, but everyone seems to be thinking $300-$400 for the PSP2, and battery life is reported to be 4-6 hours, which seems plausible.V8 Ninja said:You have some good points, but we still don't know two big factors about the NGP; the price and the battery life. Not that I was planning to pick up a 3DS on launch anyway, but even if I was this is probably the one reason I would decide not to. Nintendo is infamous for re-releasing their portable hardware with minor upgrades for every device since the original gameboy. They're as bad as Apple in this regard and yet, just like with Apple, there's always a huge rush to buy the 1st gen knowing full well that a year down the line there will be a better 2nd gen (and then 3rd and 4th, etc.).Garak73 said:I guess very few have learned from the DS. Maybe you should wait for the 3DS Lite to come out in a year or two.
