Hi, I used to play the game in Free Roam but now I started to play the competitive mode in Hardcore since I hate auto aim and I am starting to notice something. Does it only matter the fire rate of your gun? Because it seems like it, I was in a match were a guy had the High Power Pistol (the modernized pistol with the mags) and he was killing every body without a sweat, I took cover far away while 3 of my teammates when near him to take him down, I had a rifle and hit him 5 times, he was droping blood from my teammates shots but he still managed to kill them and get away. I was getting very angry by then so I went there with a shotgun and hit him twice while rubing my gun to his face, he still killed me with a pistol. I raged, when I spawn I had a gun crate near me, I went there and it was another High Power Pistol, the guy was coming at me and I just unloaded an entire mag on him, he died. It was that easy. He found him again later and killed him again with no problems. Later on he got the pistol again and started another killing spree. By the end of the match he scored 15-3 (I killed him twice).

What a load of bull.
Another thing that I hate is that a guy can die very fast or very slow, one time I was surrounded by 3 guys and managed to kill one of them, in that firefight I took 6 shots. In other encounters I can die with just 2 shots in less than a second, the same apllies for the enemys, and it doesnt have anything to do with headshots.

What do you feel about it?

Well, I Love free Roam and the cooperative modes, but, yes, the competative ones kind of... flop.

The high powered pistol is the most overpowered weapon in the game. Period :)
First post! Congratulations!

Free roam: I got sick of people swearing they were actually allying with me, then gunning me down just before the end of the mission!

Competitive: Haven't really played, but one overpowered gun breaks everything

It's always fun shooting random people. Just aim for the head and you'll probably do well. If you're ever hunted by some random asshole in free roam, it just might be me.

The HPP way too overpowered, It's probably the most sought after weapon in the game anyway.
But it seems that just a good ol' headshot does the trick.

I'm honestly "ok" with the multiplayer, but only when it comes to participating with players whom are actually competent.

Can't stand any form of multiplayer in that game, easily the worst part of the game in my view.

MP gets old fast. It's not terrible, but it's poorly balanced and the underlying mechanics were already crap.

In the hands of someone competent, a LeMat is way more lethal than a High Powered Pistol.

Being stuck spawning next to a guy with casual aiming on and a high powered pistol is my worst RDR nightmare. Even worse than being trapped in a mine with an increasingly lonely seth.

But free roam is fun. THe times I've had ramsacking towns and setting people's horses on fire.

I can't do well in Free Roam because people are hard to spot from a distance or if they are hiding. It's probably because I'm on an SDTV. I also turn aim assist off. I don't even know if that's an option in multiplayer. Some dude started hunting me in the game and I couldn't do anything to him because (I think) he just stood next to trees or in bushes. I could see his name, so I tried to aim just below that but it didn't work.

It's alright. A nice change of pace from a lot of the more popular 1st person shooters. I enjoyed many games of Gang Shootout in Chuparosa, and ended up getting quite good at it.

Yeah its mainly due to all of the guns being unrealistically accurate and easy to shoot.

Auto-aim killed the experience for me, the whole point of a shooter MP is relying on your twitch reflexes to shoot the other guy before he-she shoots you.

Auto aim in any other game is considered a dirty cheat, if you were to use it in Black Ops per say, if you were caught you could be banned from playing.

Now I could just take it off, but since everyone else would still use it, I would basically be handicapping myself.
