Poll: Red Dead Redemption ending? (SPOILER ALERT)

the last mission were you defend you and your family from the US army was something i liked, until he got his family to escape and John walked out of the front door and waited to be gunned down. i thought why couldn't he just walk out the back door but he wanted to end it there. After John died i wonder why did they come back to finish him off, after they said they were done with him and sorry about the spoilers i was not think about the people that haven't beating the game. this is for the people that have beating the game and i wanted to see what your opinion was. It wasn't that i hated the ending so much its because I liked the main character and i did want him to die.

It was a pretty damn good ending if you ask me, games books and movies are getting too perdictable now with the entire good guy lives happily ever after theme.

The redemption in the title was redeeming himself in the eyes of God before sacrificing himself so his family would be left alone. Hence why God shows up in the "I Know You" quest.

Probably one of my favorite endings in a game this year aside from Alan Wake.
Favorite game this year overall.

It's nowhere near my top 5 games of all time, but it is my game of the year so far.
The ending was great, as was 90% of the story.

I liked the ending and the following mission with jack. However I hate youhave to play as a shitty johhny depp who has the same voice he had when he was 16 for the rest of the game. Doing the last few missions to get 100% was painful playing as jack.
