'Seek the truth', indeed. The truth is harsh and disturbing. I'm no superman. I can't live in a world of constant night where every single time I wake up I have to think 'today I might be killed'. I'm just an ordinary guy.

So, Blue. Here there's the potential for happiness, machine-controlled lie or not.

And anyway, if the machines really are harvesting us for energy, well... there's barely enough electricity in the human brain to power a lightbulb. So the joke's on the robots.
they harvest our bodywarmth to power their tech.

Red pill, easy.

BE free, go trough training.
Hook up to the matrix, get feed trough an IV.

It would be my own, never ending personal computer game.
And I would have god-mode.

I would take the blue pill, but only after going to the agency to talk to Smith. I would tell him that I know all about the matrix, and I will stay in it and help the machines on one condition: I get to have the ability to seduce any and all chicks in the world. Oh, and a job that pays decent, so I don't have to struggle to pay bills and have a life. Then I would gladly stay in the matrix and go on about my life of happy slavery.

Blue Pill. I'm Cypher in this situation. I'd much rather live in ignorance of the Real World. If I took the red pill I'd end up working with the Matrix just so I could go back to normality.

Red all the way.

I would rather live a free wretch than a comfortable slave.

This is actually a little fantasy-like. Because humans degrade the energy that is consumed, the machines would get less body heat/electricity than they put into us: It's a losing game.

I go with the alternate theory that the machines use our brains like modern-day servers. The brain is the most complicated and advanced composition of mass in the known universe.

Red pill. I'm bored with normal life as it is. At least if I took the red pill it would provide me with a bit of adventure and near enough superpowers if/when I return to the matrix. Wouldn't really care if I got killed fighting for a greater cause than myself that I truly believed in, i.e. the survival of the human race.

Whichever one makes you stay in the matrix. The "real" world seems like far too much pointless hassle you could have avoided by dismissing Morpheus as a crazed ecstasy dealer.

Though saying that, bending the rules of the Matrix etc would be awesome....

Red. Nothing wrong with the world as it is. Why place myself in one where everyones out to kill me, I'm in a perpetual war with robots, and the only bonus is dodging bullets?

The Red Pill, no question. I'm very disenchanted with the pointless grind of the mundane world. Work, eat, sleep, pay your taxes, repeat. Compare that to being able to jack in and out of the Matrix at will, handling military hardware that you can literally make out of nothing (the Construct), and being able to bend the laws of reality. Sure you have to fight machines and Agents, but still... seems a lot cooler to me.

Given that I want to punch someone in the jeans when they lie to me, I'd have to take the red pill. Any lie, I can't tolerate it. I have to have the truth.

Blue. The illusion just seems so much better than that tragic dystopia that is the real world.

Just to clear up any confusion anyone may have:

Neo takes the Red pill, seeks the truth, escapes the illusions of the Matrix and wakes up in the real world.

Although as we now know from the whole trilogy, none of the rebels ever left their pods (as the Architect explains), with Zion just being an illusion of freedom and "Real Life" from the clunky illusion of reality that is the Matrix - i.e. somewhere to put all the malcontents. That is how he defeats Agent Smith by negating his existence with him and permitting the whole of the Matrix to go from loads of Smiths and lots of rain to a new 'Revolution' or version that seemingly has neither Smith or Neo (having cancelled each other out) and a sunrise courtesy of the little Indian girl (program).

The fact that you see the Oracle dead, then alive and sitting on a park bench can only be explained by accepting that this is a new Matrix. All the people in Zion are carried forward and can free other malcontents. Harmony is achieved.

Personally, I don't believe in reality all that strongly (let alone intangibles like Santa and Jesus) and have a hard time believing in electricity and magnetism (i.e. I'm moderately surprised that the light comes on when I flip the switch... I don't trust it to always work), so my answer to the poll would be the blue pill. Forget all about it. Trinity is hot, but there are plenty more fish in the sea. I quite liked the girl with the rabbit...
