The only game where I chose one every time was Timesplitters. I chose blue, even though it wasn't the default, and ended up getting too used to their spawn points.

While red does go faster, that only works if you are an Ork or have psyker powers.
I prefer to play blue because it's easier to tell when you are on fire. No, really.

Obvious troll is obvious. On topic, I typically don't really care, I just join the team with the least snipers (in tf2). Less people to steal my kills and many more targets. But as far as color itself goes, I don't really care.
