A Hermit's Cave
Random thought:

Escapist men (and women, though in a different sense): how often do you shave? (If at all...)

Alternatively, what's the state of your facial hair?

Me personally, I can get away with just the one shave a week. A postdoc I work with, though, can shave in the morning and have a full beard within 18 hrs.

If I could grow a nice looking beard, I would rock that thing 24/7. As is, it comes in as a patchy neckbeard that makes small children laugh at me.

I shave about once a week, to stop the ridicule...

If I'm trying to stay really neat I have to shave every day, but usually I don't have to look quite that good so I can go up to about three days before it starts getting bad.

And of course whenever I'm not working I don't shave at all, so right now I have areasonable beard in place. Very manly.

I like to sport the mustache-chin beard combo. It makes me look sophisticated and insightful when i stroke it...

When I'm shaving, usually 2 or 3 times a week.

But now, my beard is working its magic, and I'd like to keep it that way.

During the summer, I shave my legs about twice a week.

Parts above my legs but below my belly button, I shave three to four times a week, to prevent itchiness and keep that area as smooth as possible to prevent chafing. Also I find that more frequent shaving prevents razor burn or bumpiness. At least it did once that particular part of my body got used to being shaved.

Edit: during the winter... same for the later part. Legs, though, almost never, unless I need to wear hose. If I can get away with wearing pants in the winter, I wear pants. I save my skirts for warm weather if I can help it.

3-4 times a week. Refuse to shave more often than that, as it irritates my face, and because i look much better with stubble. I've got too much of a baby face when i'm clean shaven.

I should shave every couple of days but usually leave it for a week or two. Once I'm out of school though, the razor will not be used.

Three to four times a week. I don't grow fast enough that I need to shave every day, but roughly every second day.

I've got a kinda scraggly mustache/goatee combo right now, and I shave perhaps once a week.
I should probably shave more, but I'm rather lazy.

I'd like to say once a week, but it's really whenever I feel like it. Last time it was two weeks before I shaved, the time before that it was 2 months.

To remain clean-shaven, I would need to shave twice a day. My facial hair is out of control. I only actually shave two to three times a week, though. I dislike beards, but I just don't have the resolve to keep this monster under control.

I went and bought an electric shaver just so when I wake up I can shave real quick and be done. My job doesn't require to be clean shaven(the only plus). If I had another job I'd use a razor everyday. Right now I mostly shave b/c my beard wouldn't be thick enough yet and if I can't grow a big bushy beard then there is no point.

Once a month. Thing is, my trimmer eats batteries, so I always have to get out at least two sets of batteries every time to avoid the half beard nightmare. Problem being that if there are any batteries in the house, someone has moved them, or put them in abox with a ton of used batteries. Thus I sit here with a bushy beard that I really need to trim.

Every few days. I don't like to go longer than two days without having shaven or my neck gets all itchy. Sometimes laziness wins out, and I usually don't shave on weekends unless there's something I want to look nice for.

I've got my beard trimmed to the shape below, known as a 'burnside' or 'friendly mutton chops', though the moustache part is rather more flamboyant than this chap (curling at the edges, and all that, slightly nineteenth-century general), who i'm using for illustration.

I shave the areas which're meant to be clean-shaven every two days, and trim down the rest to uniform every two weeks.

If I wanted to be clean-shaven I'd have to shave twice a day, so I've not been without a beard since I was 16. It was rather surprising to see my chin again after 6 years, when I decided to adapt my beard to this shape a few months ago. :p
