My decision is largely going to depend on what classes are still to be announced, I'm going to play whatever class seems the most interesting to me rather then make a choice based on a side.

Also, for the Good vs Evil people - this is just my personal speculation, but I see Bioware painting the Sith Empire side more as self centered neutrals rather then pure chaotic evil for the pure sake of being evil, especially the non-Sith classes like the Bounty Hunter. Not evil, just there to simply do a job, but isn't going to let morality or anything else get in the way.

Oh, and just to fight the trend, Jedi. My favorite is Plo Koon. He is fairly emotional and he uses force lightning. He still does his duty and knows what is important.

Though I'm not suprised that Sith is winning in the poles as the internet is full of people who like to delude themselves into thinking that they're the best.

You don't get choked if you don't fail. If you show your power with the force and keep winning, there is no problem. If you fail, then there is a problem. And commanders who keep choking their underlings without good reason often find themselves betrayed when their protential victims gather together and over throw them... The strongest survive, but the foolish equally do not last long.

That's sort of how i feel. I went Horde in WoW because, on the server i was on they were the underdog.

That's the way i want to go for The Old Republic, too. Whatever has fewer people, that's where i'm heading.

Honestly, I would side with the Sith Empire and serve as a trooper. Not because I'm evil by any means, but because I understand that only the Sith has the ability to truely unite our galaxy as a whole. The delegates of the Republic could not organize a vote to wipe its own ass. Though their methods are harsh, and their intent cruel, only with the power and organization of the Sith may we stand a chance against the horrors that lurk just beyond the borders of our worlds. There are dark things out there. Far older than even the force itself, they seek nothing more than the eradication of reality as we know it. If things were left within the greedy hands of the Republic, they would still be bickering over petty trade agreements as the whole of our galaxy fell into the slavering jaws of our unseen foe...

I don't know if you can actually be good and turn evil or be evil and turn good. Considering that this MMO is based upon KOTOR Bioware had better damn well make that possible otherwise it will not be the same. Has anyone heard any official word as to alignment changes?

1.I thought they had books about them defecting. Unless, they really didn't. Then I guess they murdered a ton of jedis.

I haven't read the books admittedly. It's the game plus a sprinkling of wookiepedia (which is months old).
