Poll: Republic or Empire, Which side would you pick?

Well of course I would pick the Republic because the Empire is, you know, evil. They're all about hatred and nukes and stuff.

Besides, we know that the Republic is still around centuries later in the movies and the Empire isn't, so the Empire is predestined to lose in the end.

And I don't want to hear any flack from you Palpatine fanboys with your "but Palpatine finally destroyed the Republic and rebuilt the Empire in the end!" crap. Because first of all, Palpatine establishes the Galactic Empire, which is not the same thing as the Sith Empire. And ultimately the last surviving Jedi (Ben and Yoda) arrange events so that Palpatine gets killed and that Empire crumbles anyway.

Except...wouldn't Delta Squad become part of the Empire once the Clone Troopers got turned into Storm Troopers like the 501st?

1.I thought they had books about them defecting. Unless, they really didn't. Then I guess they murdered a ton of jedis.

2. I thought this poll was about "The Old Republic" MMO. Not the prequel/trilogy eras.

Well why mention the Commandos then?

I haven't read the books admittedly. It's the game plus a sprinkling of wookiepedia (which is months old).

Mmmm.... maybe. They look more like the generic soldier rather than specialised commandos. Their equipment similarly looks more 'generic', but the class description says they're the Best of the Best, so perhaps they are more like Commandos.

But we haven't really had an indepth look at the Trooper yet, so it's hard to tell I suppose.

True that. The Sith seem to be split between the force users and Bounty Hunter fairly equally at the moment. Really looking forward to the last few classes to get announced.

I'm a good guy at heart but I had to vote sith empire for several reasons
1 (this has been said before)force lightning is sith only
2 Jedi's are more evil than sith (oh so I'm not allowed to have a romantic relationship but I'm supposed to live with the woman I love as a bodyguard)
3 emperor palpatine>yoda in wrinkles and force power (maybe not lightsaber skill but thats not the point)
4 darth vader>Mace windu in force power, lightsaber skills and hand cutting skills.
5 there are no gungans in sith empire
6 republic elected palpatine as leader and gave him command of their troops... nuf said
