No, I know it could happen with every bullet, it's just that creating situations in which it would happen or getting lucky with having the enemies lined up isn't worth the loss of power. In my opinion, of course.Pumpkin_Eater said:It happens every shot dude. Unless you're just missing the subsequent victims.Dr Spaceman said:Red9 for Life. I had no idea. I sort of want to try it now.ColdStorage said:If you beat the gamecube version several times through with each subsequent playthrough selling all your weapons and starting "fresh", then you get 6.5 or 7 for the Red 9.D-Mic said:Noo! Save the Red 9, its exclusive gives it 5 firepower! (or 6 if you're playing the Wii)
Lol, ok, I mean less shots fired.miracleofsound said:Less shots= more ammo? Really? So that's where I've been going wrong all these years
I like the blacktail, just cause it sounds like it's the name of an African American adult publication.
I suppose it's worth noting that we probably used different tactics. I would frequently take on groups of four or five with the punisher by hitting them with lower body and midsection shots that kept them from advancing on me. If I couldn't hit several at a time I wouldn't have even attempted that using a handgun.Dr Spaceman said:No, I know it could happen with every bullet, it's just that creating situations in which it would happen or getting lucky with having the enemies lined up isn't worth the loss of power. It took me a while to figure out, I didn't notice it first 5 playthrough's, all the faqs state the Red 9 has an exclusive of 5 point firepower and I noticed mine was higher than that.D-Mic said:I had no idea. True, the matilda is a great goofing around gun, but it takes 3 rounds to equal the power of the red9. Plus, on burst, you cannot make all 3 rounds hit the head, the kick is too much.Chrinik said:The Red9 never failed me in the PS2 version. But on my second run i also packed the VP-70 "Matilda" simply because its Burst, has alot of firepower and a high mag capacity and is HK made. ^^
It sucks ammo like smarties but once you get the hang for it, single shots are easy to pull off, and nothing beats a group of enemys harder then a 3-burst HANDGUN!
I actually ran through the game trice to collect handgun ammo and once i had about 1000-1500 (could have been 2000, i cant remember, it was alot though) i went at it with only the Matilda packed.
Also the Springfield has a 50 point exclusive damage upgrade, good for bosses.
And what are you talking about the stock´s not useful on the Red9? Mine at least wobbled like jelly and long distance headshots where impossible.
With the stock, i could snipe guys continuesly.
No the gamecube didn't have an easy mode and it did have the pro mode.super bunny said:The gamecube also had an easy mode, didn't it?
Does it have a hard (professional)mode as well?
I have not played the gc version, so I don't know if you can get the exclusive upgrades in the same places you do in the ps2 version.
EDIT: this was supposed to be quoted with blood_lined post about the firepower differences between gc and ps2.
Actually, I find the Sub Machine Gun to be the most useless weapon. I find the Shotgun better for both crowd control and damage. The SMG's large ammo capacity makes it useful for head/knee shots, but then again, you already have a pistol for that, and ammo conservation isn't a big deal in RE4.super bunny said:Who is with me in saying that the mine thrower is the most useless weapon in re4?
