So, all the plot holes wrapped, the main antagonist dead and no imminent disaster apparent. However, it's an obvious cash cow to continue with. Do you think Capcom should make anothe Resident Evil game?

My opinion is that continuing with the direct series would be a bad idea, but spin-offs or Chris's further adventures in the BSAA might not be so bad.I'm just worried about the series entirely nuking the fridge with direct sequels that tire out the gameplay and have a plot even more hair-brained than usual.

I'd be interested in seeing what happens to Kennedy after Degeneration. I know the scripts are horibble, but at least they managed to make one likable character.

I prefered RE when it was just Zombies...now...now its something else...Like a failed Original Sci-fi movie.

Eh, why not? I don't exactly hold the writers of the series accountable for believable plot arcs or coherent characters. Maybe the zombie menace can come from space next?

I agree, Degeneration wasn't great, but it was entertaining and Leon was awesome.

Plot-wise, I don't give a damn, just as long as there's more Plagas/zombie slaughtering to be had.

Don't forget about Claire. Another video game with those two would be awesome. BOOM!

They've already announced any new sequels will be like RE 5.

this isn't an "OMG, repeat thread!!!" post, I'm just giving a link so you can have more info to go on.

Leon just rocks. They need to bring him back for RE6.

I think they NEED to go back to basics. But, I'm wasting breath, so yes, no matter what there will be sequels and prequels.(I actually kinda liked RE0...) But, the only ones I will be interested in are the remakes and MAYBE a few prequels. Didn't the news section on this site already mention RE6? They took the page right out of Famitsu, I think. You might want to look for that.

Have people not taken notice of the fact that constant testing on chemical weapons has created zombies with increasing intelligence? thats what the story was mainly about, its just gone from the traditional "argh brains NOM NOM NOM" to some "teamwork, weapons, and weird parasite creates from Blade 2".

Its hard to tell, Wesker has always been a sly devil, you can easily just dump it off to a clone, as Umbrella/Tricell have always been increasinly deeper and deeper rooted organisations, continuing is quite easy.

there was a document near the end of the game which suggested there might be a surviving Wesker "sibling," so they could go off of that. thank you for the link to the "we're going full steam ahead" story.

Also, Chris's arms were twice as huge in the original trailers.

Wesker is not dead.
Sorry, it's just not going to happen.

There is ALWAYS an excuse to bring back a villain in some way, shape, or form.

Problem with Capcom is they want to bring in too many fanbases instead of simply pleasing the players of RE1 and RE2. Sorry, I liked 4 but something about this game feels like a random war game.

I want a lack of ammo, I want loading screen doorways, and I want the feeling that I cannot kill everything in the room...
Sigh, I have a feeling the series fell here.
