Most don't put animals that you eat on your Coat of Arms, since they're usually considered "weak". So it doesn't seem that weird imo.

Apparently they have the Kangaroo and the Emu because both of those creatures are incapable of walking backwards, so its meant to symbolise Australia making constant progress or something like that.

Your point? I mean I knew you can get Emus meat but I didn't know about Kangaroos meat.

I've tried kangaroo steak, it's delicious. Emu, though, I haven't yet had the opportunity to try. I'd like to, though.

Another thing about the skippy steak is that if you have it medium rare, it's juices make incredible chip dip. Tangy and a little sweet.

I'd eat a bald eagle if they weren't endangered. I like wild bird meat. Also, predator meat. I guess I'm weird in that. I enjoy the meat of predatory animals.

So I guess I'm a little jealous.

Hurhur... Reminds me of my mate's film from when he visited Australia. In it, we see him brows the rocky shore and suddenly runs away like a little girl, because there was a tiny octopus.

Plus they're both scrappy, vicious bastards in a fight: a full grown male Red Kangaroo can gut a man no sweat. Emu's can be dangerous, but aren't as well known for it as their New Guinea cousin the Cassowary

To be honest Australia is quite awesome...
