It was a flawed game, the fact the enemies were omnipresent was my biggest gripe about it. If they operated like a terroist group trying to do their best as human without god like aiming then it would be a better game and if they didn't use the buddy system I would prefer it because they were all pains in the ass IMO.

I think it was a great game, but these days graphics are as good as they need to be, and I would have enjoyed it more if I could have played it on my laptop.

The game was good, but I can't say the same about the review. Too yahtzee like for me.

I enjoyed the game, the wide selection of weapons, the great scenery and fire... The flamethrower is still my favourite weapon in the game. I liked some of the unique elements of the game, like how if you get really wounded you have to do first aid to heal. No ducking behind crates and hoping for the best. It's kinda funny what injuries you get sometimes... (How'd that pole get in my chest?)

Overall, I enjoyed it but it sometimes felt like a chore.

The only thing that really frustrated me was the ending.
"Hey Look! It's the Jackal! Hey... where did my gun go? Why can't I shoot? WTF?"

*sigh* I'd go into far more agonizing detail, but I like to let other people be the spoilers.

Why not call it "African Adventures" or heck at least come up with an original name. Far Cry 2 HAS NOTHING AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common with Far Cry 1.

A really didn't like it. The only thing I did like was the mapmaker. Very very cool, and quite user-friendly compared to the old CryEngine Sandbox.

I agree why on earth did they call it Far Cry 2, Although the gameplay is very good, the story WAY better than average, its fairly immersive, BUT multiplayer is crap on the PS3 thanks to Ubisoft and its software commpatibility issues.
