As soon as Microsoft and Sony allow me to play every game on Keyboard/Mouse then sure. Otherwise not in this lifetime.

I refuse to play RTS's on anything but PC. And I try to get every game I can on PC, unless it's been stiffed on the port, like Assassins Creed 2.

Every game is better with a mouse.

The only problem with PC's is that it generally requires you to be somewhat savvy technologically and to keep your computer up to date. In contrast to consoles where you buy one and a retarded 12 year old can(and do) use it.
Don't you think it is better that they held back the PC version to make sure it is up to scratch?
Also, completely agree about the mouse/keyboard - playing fps on consoles is for 'tards.
Maybe, but I think it should have the same effort put into it that the other ports have. And usually it's going to be pointless if you're bringing it out late. Especially if its 2 months difference as with Assassin's Creed 2. I already got it on PS3 because I've been waiting for the game for ages, no way am I waiting another 2 months.

HD Consoles are like a banana republic dictatorship. The more extreme the rhetoric about them ruling forever and being the greatest the more likely it is that they are just about to fail.

PC is like a modern democracy. Always seems to be corrupt and failing with people criticizing it for everything but somehow manages to stay on top and be the most open and vibrant society.

i believe console will stay, pc's will die out because, the newer consoles will be game machines with computers, not the other way around :( but pc gaming will always be the best :)

PC games will always be on the market, but game developers are starting to favor consoles more due to the hordes of 12 year olds buying them.

B.S. 12 year olds don't buy the games. The 18-34 market buys more.More spending power, more desire for the product. 12 year olds' parents buy games, for sure. In big numbers. The "hordes" though are the 18-34.

I am a console gamer and I can explain that easily. It's just that consoles are more focused on gaming.
Disclaimer: I am not forcing my opinion onto other people.
Exactly. I don't need to worry about specs or upgrades. I know every console game I buy will play on my console. If that means I sacrifice a bit of graphics (because you guys may love the mouse I sure don't I can't hit jack with it) or the ability to play mods (since I am not creative enough to build one) I am fine with that. So why can't we all just get along? I don't begrudge you for your choice why do you put me down for mine? We are all contributing to the industry. We are all making sure good companies who make good games have the funds to keep doing so. Isn't that all that matters? Afterall the market is big enough for both sides. This isn't a war.

And now for something completely different

Sorry but I could not pick any of those options. My thoughts on are simply that the console market isn't going to get any bigger, it's pretty big already, and PC gaming will not die out because of it, because there will always be people who prefer playing on it.

Ah finally someone with respect, unlike most of the elitist fucks above.

I own a PS3 and a PC, play both a fair bit, all depends on what releases come out for each. Some work on multiplatform, other just fail.

So yes, there will always be a PC market, but I think the consoles will have a dominant spell in the future

Umm, there's no such thing as democracy?
But, hey, not a political discussion.
Still I kind of disagree with you because as soon as one banana republic (console) falls it is replaced by another, better one.
PC is not on top, they're equals.
Also, I don't see much difference between console and PC gamers.

I'd just rather not think about it, really. there's always going to be a new thing, and a new console. Give it time, computers will get some new pieces of technology that will up the ante

Tell that to Sega or Atari.

On the other hand, do you think that it would be good for gamers if PC failed and was replaced by something worse? If it is replaced by something better then doesn't it live on in the same way as this supposed unbroken continuity of games consoles?

PC is not on top, they're equals.

They are obviously not equals as there would be nothing to choose between them which is not the case. Such an empty diplomatic statement and you accuse me of being political! Many console and PC gamers like very different games. Some console gamers can look at a list of upcoming PC games and think that the platform is dead while a PC gamer can look at it like it was the most exciting line up ever. The opposite also applies.

There will always be a PC market.

Let's face it, we're the only ones in the way of letting everyone (well, ourselves, the consolers are already being raped) take complete advantage of how and what we play.

Besides, it's arguably cheaper to be a PC gamer. And by arguably I mean highly likely.

I've been a PC gamer for years, since the start of the 90's (bar a time briefly in my early 20's when my PC died ,I couldnt afford to build a new one , and made "do" with a playstation ) I'd have older consoles for drunken sofa gaming but my main fun was had at a computer.Thing is I gave up around the time MW2 came out and bought a PS3.The best things about PC games up to now was the fact that they tended to be open systems , hosted servers, decent self policing communities, free mods.Consoles are great in that they require little maintenance(RROD/YLOD not withstanding)but they're closed systems , want a server?? either you use our a few official servers or get p2p style ad hoc hosting.Want mods? sorry , but you can give us money for a new map/gun/costume.Games a bit old and you want a graphics update? go buy our upcoming sequel with slightly new content.
MW2 is an perfect example , more and more pc ports are the worst of both worlds, Closed systems games on a platform that's a good bit harder to maintain (the 'you need to upgrade every two months' thing is a fallacy , but how many times have you seen someone post a game support query on a forum and get a 'LOL buy more ram/uber card /new hdd' response).Nowadays the PC either doesn't get releases or else seems to get shoddy ports with the minimum effort put in that are just an attempt to mop up some extra cash, theres the odd exception but they're getting less and less common .
It really annoys me , but I was just so tired of seeing shite games available to me while the console kids are getting all the good stuff that I caved in and bought the PS3 (most of my mates have one so at least I can play against them online ), I was really sad to switch but kind of relieved in a way.(And in fairness other than euro PSN being bobbins compared to the US one I'm liking it)
There's still decent PC releases , but it seems like MMO's aside PC gaming is just an afterthought, and once some bright spark manages an xbox/ps MMO I don't think it'll even have that niche anymore...

Even trough the consoles are wreaking havoc, i think that there will always be a PC game market. There will be new consoles, and new computers... They will grow more and more powerful until they take over the world and kill us all. Burn all technology! It's witchcraft!

I didn't accuse you of being political, I accused myself of thinking to much into this analogy of yours.
And, no, it is not an empty statement. Many console and PC gamers like different games, but many Xbox and PS gamers like different games. That doesn't make them differentiated by platform.
