1990's Rogue? Hell yes!
2000's Rogue? Meh.
Does anyone else hate Rogue's not-the-90s costume & not-curly hair?

I like Rogue's personality & attitude, but Jean has red hair, so she's more physically appealing, but she has piss-poor taste in men. I never met a girl in my childhood who watched X-Men & liked Scott.
yea scott summers was a dick
rather take my chances with wolverine or gambit
Cyclops would never get Jean Grey in real life. Even without her mental superpowers she would realize what an absolute toolbox he is.

On topic, umm...if 2v1 is on the table I'm gonna go with that.

Correct me if I have the powers wrong - I'm not big on comic books - but Mystique.
"Look different today, woman!!!"

To be fair, James Marsden is pretty hot. Also, I always saw Cyclops as more of a sympathetic character. He's stiff and emotionally distant because he's always afraid of hurting people or not living up to expectations.

Neither, I'm a Storm man myself.

Awww you got rid of the good image :[ but defiantly Rouge...sexy name
Considering that it's a very sexy name, you really should be able to spell it right.

It's Rogue, not Rouge [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RougeAnglesOfSatin].

Sorry, just another opportunity to plug TV Tropes. Can't resist.

I'd rather take my chances with Gambit or Sinister or Mystique or Poison Ivy (I know she's not Marvel). Wolverine is hairy & as a Trichotillomaniac, it would drive me insane.

Who's James Marsden?

IF Cyslops was a girl, I would have been okey with his personality. I just don't like MEN like that.

No matter which way you cut it, I'd go with Jean (though out of all X-Men I'll always take Kitty Pryde). I don't know, I mean, I like redheads better but Rogue just never did it that much for me, as good looking as she was/is. Also, I don't think Jean was in my top 5 X-Babes but that pic is freaking sexy. I was out of the loop for a few years so I don't know exactly what happened to Rogue or Jean before Astonishing X-Men started.

Cyclops - "How do I know it's you?"
Wolverine - "You're a dick."
Cyclops - "Okay."

As for whether or not Scott could get Jean, lots of guys get girls people think they could never have. I always thought James Marsden was a little young for Famke Janssen's Jean Grey but I've never relyed on Hollywood to get things like age appropriateness right. (Famke is 9 years older than James playing characters that are very close in age. Also, if the cast is concrete set for "Green Lantern", Ryan Reynolds is also 9 years older than Blake Lively who play Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris, two other characters who are roughly the same age.)

Rogue is incredibly hot, plus she would give a good excuse for trying out my latex and bondage fantasies. I'm just kidding people, I can't stand latex.

^James Marsden, the actor who played Scott in the X-Men movies.

OT: I've always favored Rogue, but couldn't really say why.

...Wow...The truth is that most women aren't attracted to overly masculine men, especially long term.

Well, all the guys I like are either femanine or are pretty enough to be girls, so I can't disagree with that.

Heyyy.... I had a crush on Scott when I was a kid.
Now I've grown old and moved on to the more dangerous types. :D (Although, Scott in the movies was still nice to look at...)

OT: Rogue. I'm biased. I didn't like Jean when I was growing up.

Between the two mentioned I think Jean Grey is generally hotter, though like with any comic character it can vary greatly with the artist doing the specific pics.

As far as the spin off discussions about Cyclops go, I'd point out that he was created to serve a role on a team, as opposed to a lot of other characters that were designed to stand on their own better as individuals. He was sort of created to be the leader and the sort of foundation on which the more maverick characters like Iceman (originally) could be compared to.

I think a lot of writers nowadays (and fans for that matter) don't give him the credit he's due for consistincy, and arguably being the pillar on which the X-men as an operating team were built around.

I think he's a bit less annoying when you consider not just the storylines, but also why he's set up the way he is. Also to be entirely blunt I think part of his problem is that he's been badly written at times and the "daddy issues" that they tend to constantly harp on to give him some depth are a bit overdone.

I'll also say that his power level has fluctuated wildly in comics over the years, sometimes within the same story arc. On some days his beam is pretty much viewed as laughable, at other times they get more "classic" where they treat it like it could (figuratively) blow the moon out of the sky. Truthfully I always kind of thought that a lot of these Cyclops/Wolverine fights were written badly to play to Wolverine, strictly speaking I'd think Cyclops would literally ionize every inch of his body off his skeleton, and going by some of his more impressive feats (and things that have damaged Wolverine's bones before) I've never been convinced that the thin coating of Adamantium on Wolvie's bones should be able to take his potential power output.

according to wikipedia rouge can control her powers now so her, so her. Also Jean could snap at any minute.
