Well today I had plans with Tom but they kind of got ruined. Got all dressed up and prettied up for nothing basically. =[ But we're going to make it up, that's for sure. <3

I'd planned to get an apartment with some people I knew. One of their girlfriends got an apartment in a certain complex that only has 3-bedroom apartments. Of course, the guy whose girlfriend it was just had to get in that complex. We were a group of 4. I was the last one in the plan, so I was the first one out. I understand the reasoning behind it, but I wish it could have happened any other way.

That's unfortunate.. and rather odd that your girlfriend has to spend Vday with her parents and brother instead of her boyfriend.

I can't really pick out one moment like that for me, but it does annoy me quite a bit when plans like that fall through. I don't really RAGE!!!1! at it, but I do rage a bit and find myself wondering whether it's worth it next time I try to plan something.

So, I must vent my rage.

I just found out, via text I may add, that my girlfriend cannot make it to the plans that we had for Valentines day. Its was nothing big, but just a group date with our best friends and their dates. Unfortunately, she has to cancel, because her parents want to go out to dinner with her and her brother.

So, either I go as the fifth wheel, and not be able to troll around for some chicks because her friend is there, and would be pointless anyways because its couples day). And now I feel all depressed and bummed out. Especially because my friend is going to be pissy because I have to cancel on them. So yea, plans shot, and I have to spend Vday on my lonesome. I guess I still have Zoidberg, but then again, we all still have Zoidberg

I am a sad banana

So, Escapees; What was your worst plan ruining experience?
Gah, Mr Pimp, I feel for you. I don't feel I should be sharing this, but, what the hell, we're friends here:
I was going to go and visit my girlfriend who is roughly 420 miles away. This very day in fact. Why haven't I? It begins with P, strikes monthly and fucks any plans of...'intimacy', shall we say. Amongst other reasons of course.

Plans are worthless. Planning is essential. - Dwight D. Eisenhower, general and president (1890-1961)

By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail. - Benjamin Franklin

Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now. - Alan Lakein, writer

No plan survives contact with the enemy. - Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke

etc etc. OT: I've found that every time I made a complex plan it blew up horribly in my face. Best to just have a vague idea and be flexible...not that it means a lot to you. Worse the luck, man. I feel for you.

Even though almost all of my plans end up falling through, one in particular has always stood out to me.

Scheduled a nice, fancy dinner with one of my lovers(now ex-lover) and went to her house to pick her up. Apparently she forgot I was picking her up because she was in her room doing the nasty with a dude I used to know.

Much ice cream was consumed that night. ;-;

Was gonna go hang out with some friends, including a girl I am rather intrigued by, but then my car-having friend ceased to have car, and because transit in Calgary is about as effective for cross-town travel as a screen-door on a submarine, plans were cancelled.

Some serious brooding ensued, but it was cool.

Ultimate strategy for not dealing with gf ruining your plans: don't have a gf (or a bf either if you swing the other way).
It's also called the ultimate strategy for being a lonely pathet- haha no. You don't need romance to not be lonely.
Edit: I normally don't plan stuff too much and let everything play out as it does (aside from the required stuff, such as school).

Didn't you say in another thread that Valentines day is just another day and it is stupid? If not then someone has your avatar. But anywho.
Maybe? Kind of?

I have said that its a silly holiday, but I didn't say that I don't enjoy it or that it shouldn't be celebrated.

You dare ask ME that question?

*smack!*

FOOL! ARE YOU A MAN?! THEN....RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

LET THE HEAVENS TREMBLE, LET THE SEAS GROW ROUGH, LET THE VERY EARTH MOURN! DO YOUR MANLY DUTY! GRAB YOUR PHALLIC REPRESENTATION-TYPE WEAPON, GROW OUT YOUR HAIR, AND RAMPAGE! RAWR!

As for me? Well, I got a date for V-Day and we're going out to a special late night bash at a friend's place. So good luck with that!

I wish I had a girlfriend. There's a person I know that I really want to be with, and they actually really want to be with me. Unfortunately, we live over 100 miles away from each other and only know each other because we went to a statewide acting conference last year and have talked since then.

So basically, my point is, don't feel bad about your situation- it'll be better tomorrow.

OT:

Well, a while back me and some mates were gonna go to a shitty movie at our local dollar theater and throw popcorn at people. It was disappointing when that didn't happen.
