This is primarily for the PS3 bois out there.

Now that the PS3 Rumble Controller is out, are you going to buy it?

Personaly, I didn't really feel a difference when I got my PS3 with no rumble in my controler. Maybe i got used to it, and i don't remember what rumble was like, but someday i will get it just as an extra controller. It's not too important to me, but it does enhance the gameplay for me.

What about you? Is rumble important to you? Are you going to pay the $55 for it (standard Six-Axis controller + $5 extra for rumble. Pretty good deal if you ask me) because you can't live without it?

On a side note, does rumble help you with your games?

I'm getting it, mainly so I have two controllers, but also because I do miss the rumble sometimes on those cold nights.
Sigh... now all I need is a copy of Rez.

I'll get it. I like the added weight and the feeling it adds to games.

I wish they'd add it to COD4.. but 402 says it would require too much code rewriting (apparently, Sony never sent them a DS3, and they would have gladly implemented rumble if they had the hardware when they were developing the game).

Never play COD4 on the 360, or you'll want rumble on the PS3. It was after that experience that I decided rumble really does immerse you in the game. Shooting your gun and feeling your controller vibrate is great.

Sometimes rumble helps me, sometimes it doesn't. I hate it when rumble becomes some sort of gameplay element - I'll go back to Ocarina of Time for an example. The controller rumbling when I am near a statue as my only tip as to where the statue is? That's ridiculous.

But at times, rumble does get annoying. Some games overuse it. I remember on the N64, I used to take the batteries out of the rumble pak and plug it back in simply because the weight made it feel that much better, but I didn't want to play with rumble.
