Poll: Runescape!

Back In the day I used to play runescape quite a bit and I even got to be a member for free because of my "brilliant" art skills (christmas card competition!!!...stop laughing seriously)

so anyway I learned that runescape was kinda not taken seriously as other MMORPG's

anyone else played it? how dose it compre to others?

I'm tempted to start again since now you can buy those membership cards in stores in australia

Unfortunately, I never really got into it. I think it was my friend telling me every time he went up a level in wood cutting.

I used to play it, years ago.
The Great Altruist of world 10. I think.
Or I was, until they mixed it all up, and made that a foreign one...
Or a member one, or whatever it is, and whatever world it was...
Meh, at least it is there if I get really bored and have nothing else to do...

It's a game completely based around farming. And only farming. BUT, the farming is pretty well done. So for those that like that kind of stuff...

I played it the most out of the people I knew, even a friend of mine offered to pay for my membership for me. However, once I ra out of membership I didn't find it so good as I had already exhausted most of the stuff to do in the free to play areas that didn't involve massive grinding. And even before then I was getting bored of the members stuff due to the same reason, the Grinding's too much.

I used to play it, about 4-5 years ago. It was pretty good, but eventually after a year of playing it i got bored, although i do still talk to alot of the clan friends i made.

I played it years ago, I was the one who brought it into my middle school (After which everyone played it, some still do while most stopped after a year)

It wasn't terribly good. But it was something to do before I got a real MMO to play.

I kinda like it. The quests are much more complex than your average "go there kill X" ones you find in most MMORPGs, and the forums community is better than most I've seen. It's not on the level of this one, but still.

I used to play it 3-4 years ago, for about 2 years. I did become a member later on but then stopped playing,( maybe because my friends stopped playing and i had no-one to talk to online?)

But like all things, it becomes boring sooner or later, and ive moved onto better games( guild wars)

Been playing it off-and-on for 5 years. I don't play much anymore because I don't play often enough to pay for membership and the last few times I did pay I never ended up playing, and as a previous poster said, free-to-play gets boring once you're a member for long enough. Still a friend with most of the more long-term clanmates. Old clans do that to you.

Runescape would be good if it didn't go quite so far out of it's way to make you run in damn circles to get anything done.

One thing i've learned about MMOs is you have to have some of that run in circles junk or it's dead boring in a week, but Runescape takes it way to damn far.

I played it a long time ago and to be honest their are so many better free MMOs now check out Shaiya an Aeriagames.com its pretty boss.
