It's a small article, but here's the scoop from Destructoid [http://www.destructoid.com/saints-row-3-is-mindblowing--169474.phtml] if you really want to know.

GTA IV is by all means a good game, but not even it can hold a candle to the brilliance that is Saints Row 2. Okay, the graphics aren't as good, there are a few minor bugs, and the competitive MP leaves a lot to be desired, but those are just nip picks to the overall experience. I could go on listing all the things that make it awesome but thankfully Yahtzee's already done that [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/312-Saints-Row-2], so I don't have to.

Actually come to think of it, there is one thing I'd to add. This is probably going to be considered as tabu, but I thought Saints Row 2's story and characters were phenomenally more interesting than GTAIV's.

GTA IV's story isn't bad, it's very effective mind you, but it's extremely predictable, the characters are gangster movie archetypes, the set pieces aren't particularly original, and the progression kept oddly shifting from over-the-top fun to gritty film noir or vise verca.

SR2's story isn't neccessarily epic or brilliant, however the characters were colorful and filled with personality, the set pieces were utterly priceless ([sub]One mission has you storming a nuclear power station in which you steal some hazardous waste in order to inject it into a dude's face...No really![/sub]), and the fact that the progression was so over-the-top made it slightly difficult to predict what would happen next.

I don't expect people to take what I just said lightly, but I just felt I had to lay it out there. So let's talk about something else now...

Sooo...yeah. Saints Row 3 is offically official. Excited? Intrigued? Questioning? Confused? Lonely? Call me? NO NO!

Well, as long as they keep the coop (possibly making support for 4 player coop?) and learn how to optimize it to run on a real computer instead of a hypothetical one from AD 2020 then I'll buy it.

Although it's main competitor is probably going to be All Points Bulletin, coming out in the summer.

I would like to see a refined and bug-free Saints Row 3. A PC version would be nice.

Maybe there could be destructable environments ala Volitions other game, Red Faction Guerilla. We could even have a terrible framerate!

Yes I am looking forward to SR3. There are several conditions to my enthusiasm however. Firstly they must release a working version of it on the PC at the same time as the consoles. Secondly it must not have higher graphical requirements than the first one, preferably lower. Thirdly players mush be able to easily drop weapons they don't want. Finally there must be other ways around the missions that require fast driving.

Hmmm the car handeling in saints row 2 was pretty bad but aside from that and a number of game breaking bugs, and average graphics, and a pretty generic story, and repetitive missions it wasnt too bad so hopefully they will fix some of that stuff in the 3rd one but it could be good.

I'm still playing Saint's Row 2. I love the customisation. My character has been a picture perfect version of everyone. Joker, The Fonz, J.D. from Scrubs (Let's Pretend shop in the underground shopping centre at Nob Hill FTW)... It's brilliant.
I even became the Mad Hatter and had a themed green classic car that had kneecappers and everything. Good times.
Also, I've got a mission-related problem:
I've done every Ronin mission up to and including Good D, I've done every Brotherhood mission up to and including the one where you fight Maero with the minigun, and every Samedi mission up to and including Eternal Sunshine, and maybe even one after it.
But now, even though I've got like 14 respect bars, the missions aren't showing up. It's not even that I just can't do them due to a respect glitch, they're just not on the map. Is this normal?
