Yes. Saints Row 2 is the first open-world game I've legitimately gotten 100% in simply because I wanted too. I have about seventy hours logged into one file alone. And if the DLC is any indication, the Boss will be expanding his empire to a new city. For those not in the know, the DLC ends
With Dex, a Saints lieutenant from the first game turned Ultor exec, cheesing it after the Boss wrecks some shit up. The Boss, with nothing really left to do in Stilwater and Dex needing some bullets in him, is likely going to spend at least some of the next game pursuing him and taking over a new city.

Saint's Row 2 is the worst console-to-PC port I've played. There's so many things wrong with it; it's extremely sloppy. Sometimes, it refers to console controls, the 1 and 2 buttons don't work in the fight club, driving is messed up, sometimes the W key stops working if held down and you must release it and press it again, movement is sloppy.

That being said, it's an extremely fun game to play at University between classes, even with these annoying flaws. I have only gotten about 18% in, because most of my time is spent with a few friends putting on the cheats "Invincibility" "Evil Cars" Annhilator RPG" "Unlimited Clip" "Super Explosions" "Low Gravity" and "Unlimited Sprint" and trying to get from one end of town to the other.

So if they make a decent PC port of this, I'll probably buy it... But this won't be a game I buy at release. I bought SR2 for 15 bucks off Steam during holiday madness, and it was worth every penny but nothing more than 20.

Quick edit: GTA IV was one of the most boring games I've played. I would love a completely realistic open-world sandbox game, but trying to do it half-assed like Rockstar did with GTA IV just makes for a boring and souless game.

Is it ok to say I hate this series with a passion...-_-
What's wrong with it?
Just one of those games, for me that is.

For me SR is the male video game equivalent of Twilight....0o

Actually I think Twilight is a bit better.

They said its mindblowing: I believe them.

Think about it. The craziness of saints row added with the destructibility of red faction. Of course, it would have to be minimal, because then you could just level the whole city, and that wouldn't be too convenient. They should clear up all the bugs this time, make the graphics slightly more modern, and defientely add more voice customization options. Oh, and the city's size definetely needs some working on. I was able to cross the city from one side to the other in about less than five minutes.

But all said, saints row 2 is probably my favorite game ever.

Only ever played Saints Row 2, but it was a blast. Giving my character red tinted circle shades, a goatee, and a bowler hat automatically cemented it as one of my favorite games. I rented it a bunch of times and finally bought it for $7 (Along with GTA 4 for $10) when my local Blockbuster went under ;(

Saint's row 1 was pretty good. Saint's Row 2 is one of the best games of the generation, so I think I have faith for this one as well. Maybe this one will be like super mario bros. 3! Or MGS 3! or Elder scrolls 3! or Devil may cry 3!

I have hope.

I didn't even know they were planning an SR3 but damn I'm looking forward to it. If they reckon they can improve on the second one it's bound to be amazing.

Saint's Row 2 was fantastic, and I hope Saint's Row 3 will be just as good.
I'm pre-ordering it anyway.

I'm still playing Saint's Row 2. I love the customisation. My character has been a picture perfect version of everyone. Joker, The Fonz, J.D. from Scrubs (Let's Pretend shop in the underground shopping centre at Nob Hill FTW)... It's brilliant.
I even became the Mad Hatter and had a themed green classic car that had kneecappers and everything. Good times.
Also, I've got a mission-related problem:
I've done every Ronin mission up to and including Good D, I've done every Brotherhood mission up to and including the one where you fight Maero with the minigun, and every Samedi mission up to and including Eternal Sunshine, and maybe even one after it.
But now, even though I've got like 14 respect bars, the missions aren't showing up. It's not even that I just can't do them due to a respect glitch, they're just not on the map. Is this normal?
Have you been over to Ultor yet? That's where you go to get the last remaining missions.
Don't forget to pay a vist to the police station in Saints Row as well.
I haven't finished the gang missions though.
Here's a list of people I haven't killed:
Maero.
Akuji Senior.
The General.
And when I go to the missions tab on the map, there are literally none anywhere. Do I have to do the Strongholds first or what? I think I've already mentioned my respect bar.
You have to complete all of the strongholds as well to unlock the final missions.

Saint's Row 2 is FAR better than GTA IV.

I knew there would be a third, and I've just been waiting for an announcement.

This just made my week.

Well Saints Row 2 was mindless so I guess that's a step up. Saints Row 2 is honestly probably one of the most fun games I've ever played. It was by no means a good game, but it was fun and that's all that matters.

Just kiddin, it's a perfect game if you want to mess around in coop and they should just improve the original formula :]

As long as they keep the same voice actors for the main character, and still have the very well made character creator, then I'll enjoy it. The second one was quite an epic game, especially since Duke Nukem was in it. :D

I enjoyed GTA4 too, though. Both are good games, just different.

After playing Just Cause, the newest one, I think they should add being able to handcuff people to stuff in SR3.
You know, I never thought I would enjoy the brighter, less emo versions of things since I, and everyone else, thought I was such a dark and depressed kid.
Oddly though, for me:
Elder Scrolls>Fallout
Saints Row>GTA
Armed and Dangerous>Than any shooter to date.
