I want to know what games YOU'VE found to be downright frightening or creepy.

Tell when you played them too as that may have had something to do with it.

Example, Resident Evil. 8 years old. Nightmares for a few days.

Clock Tower 3. Scared the HELL out of me when I was 12-13.

Echo Nights. Creeped me out and scared me when I was 15-16.

That last one probably still would even now, when I'm 19 going on 20 in January. xD

RE4 for the simple fact that the flaming guy in the giant oven made me piss myself. I am aware that the game is more thrills then scares, but still spooky.

The first half of Condemned 2 and all of Condemned 1 are scary as all hell.

I'm not really into horror games but the closest that I've ever come to it was the Ravenholm level in HL2. It was probably my favorite part of the entire game though.

I've never truly been scared of a game, but Ravenholm came close. Hunted like an animal all while being starved for ammo in most areas. Fast zombie really startled me once.

I don't play horror games much. Ravenholm was pretty freaky, though. I kept thinking the priest was going to turn on me or something.

Fatal Frame 1 + 2 for the PS2 are terribly scary! I played through them with a friend over the summer. Let me tell you, if I ever go to Japan, I will NOT enter any creepy hell mansions!

Also, Silent Hill 2 is probably my favorite psycho-survivor horror game to date. The story is moving and the overall aesthetics and environments are downright disturbing. (especially all the holes you have to jump down) I also quite enjoyed the Resident Evil remake for the GameCube. The crimson head zombies and Lisa Trevor added a little more terror to the already creepy setting.

If you haven't played any of these games, I highly recommend them! :)

The first ever Doom game and the first Alone in the dark.

These might not sound very scary, but let me remind you that when these games came out, there was no scary games at all. Those of you who have played these in the old days know what I mean.

The Suffering: TTB was genuinely unsettling. For a game that uses the covered, battered bodies of babies their was no fuss in the media and the soiundtrack was fecking horrifying.

Fatal Frame 1+2, Call of Cthulhu. Being helpless in a game is all part of it.

I don't play many horror games, mainly because I scream like a girl and am scared easily. Best I can do is Condemned, freaky, specially those damn mannequins.

Ya know any game someone posts is, in this day and age, on multiple platforms....so the poll is flawed from that stand point.
