I saw the new Nightmare on Elm Street and to be honest, I kinda laughed. So I wondered what was the scariest movie series ever. It can be an individual one as well w/e.

Korean Horror.

That's right, the entire genre. Or w/e. Don't fuck with Korean horror movies - they will give you nightmares.

I love horror movies, but I just don't find them scary.

Scariest movie series, though? I reckon Hellraiser is the only one that comes close.

I haven't been really scared from a horror movie yet. I don't watch a lot of them, but the ones I've seen haven't scared me. Sure, I've jumped at the "Jump Scenes", but I hardly consider that scary.

The Exorcist was probably the freakiest movie I saw. Not your candidates! With the exception of King... sort of.

Hellraiser was pretty damn creepy. Other than that everything out of Asia classified as horror is mind rendingly frightful.

I don't watch a great deal of horror movies.

One night my friends talked me into watching The Grudge.

I thought it was scary, to be honest.

Well, I didn't think so. I chose that response to mean I am a manly man, who knows not the meaning of fear!

You think the Resident Evil series is horror? Lolololol!

Actually, I don't find any of the movies that you put in the poll scary. The Nightmare on Elm Street movies are juts plain hilarious, and the Friday the 13th movies are just gore fests, but they don't really have any scary parts.

To tell you the truth, I can't think of any movies that really scared the crap out of me. I guess I'm just pretty desensitized, but I guess that's what happens to a kid when he watches movies like silence of the lambs at the age of 8.

Also, what's the difference between the last and second to last poll answers? I mean, they both say the same thing, that the person answering doesn't watch scary movies.

I would have to say the film that scared me the most was Alien. Aliens is also scary, although it's more action than horror, and the sequels are laughable.

The Exorcist is a close second. Cannibal Holocaust is pretty freaking disturbing too.

The only one I particularly find scary from your list is the Nightmare On Elm Street, and even then, it's not that scary, and only the first one.
Cannibal holocaust was prety disturbing, wouldnt call it scary though.

OT: Amityville Horror was prety scary... Till i watched the remake

I have yet to see a horror movie that doesn't just make me bust out laughing. I've watched all different kinds from all different countries, but none of it scares me. I just find their attempts at horror to be hilarious.

None of the movies listed are scary. Stephen King was to me when I was little but not now.
