I would go with the Police Station from RE2, very deserted, had a eerie feel too it and the Lickers just add to the tension lol.

Depending on which one your playing, there might not be enough ammo in the game for all enemies.

I personally find enemies you can't kill very unsettling. The Regenerators creep me out.

Wherever there's a guy with a chainsaw and a bag on his head. I only played the RE4 demo but when I first saw that guy he scared me shitless. Likely because I had no ammo, little health and no ways of regaining it, and I was at a dead end just waiting to get my ass sliced down the crack.

It was by far the most atmospheric setting of any of the games.

Clock Tower (RE3) and most any other place. Never know where Nemesis could be waiting to jump out and pop your head like a zit.

I would have to go with that island on a whole. That place just creeped me out especially with Alfred lurking around.

I have to say that the chainsaw guys from RE 4 are the scariest enemies there are. So anytime I hear that rumbling noise I get freaked out. Until I've unlocked the hand cannon with infinite ammo that is.

Why am I the only person to have voted the mansion?

It wasn't scary to me, because every now and again, one of the characters spoke and I laughed at the voice acting.

Oddly enough, any areas with the little spider thingies from RE5 scared me the most. I do not like spiders in any form...

I would say the village. I hated hated hated it. Scared me shitless.

Also, you know how you're supposed to go inside that house and grab the shotgun, and then that spawns the chainsaw guy? I never noticed that house so I just kept shooting and knifing the villagers until the bell rang and didn't get a shotgun until the first merchant.
