In general, do you prefer sci-fi or fantasy books, games, movies, anything?
I know most of you will take the stance of "If it's good, I don't care which", so don't do that. I personally love playing Oblivion, yet my game collection is vastly more sci-fi. I find that there's simply more options for a future-based game, like space combat sims.
Though I do like sci-fi with a touch of the feel of sci-fi, like the Warhammer 40k universe, where your best space-combat ships can be descibed as 10-millennia old space-bpurne battle-cathedrals.

I read a lot more fantasy than sci-fi but i like sci-fi games a lot more than fantasy games. even though i think sci-fi is just fantasy in the future, and fantasy is in the past, its still just fantasy.

I like both for what they offer.

In fantasy, I like to see wierd and magical stuff and if it has dragons, the better.

In scifi, almost the same, but with new technology and some cool new alien races.

I equally like both, I'll leave them both at a tie.

If it's good, I don't care. A Song of Ice and Fire series bores me.

I prefer sci-fi anything over fantasy. Namely because most fantasy seems to take place in some place that almost always looks/feels similar to England (Yes, I know Yahtzee said that in a video, but I have had this opinion for a decade). I also like more explanation of how something works, more than just chalking it up to 'magic'. This is why I preferred Fallout 3/New Vegas over Oblivion. Although I am somewhat looking forward to Skyrim.
