Poll: Security Guards V.S. 12-year old punk

In the latest edition of media outcries here in Sweden we have a hilarious case where a kid harasses a security guard and well... It didn't go so well for him. Watch it yourself.


The clip is obviously in Swedish, but you can see what's going on anyway.

The rest of the story is classic, the mother cries out in the media, the papers take her side and everyone starts complaning about oppression like they've just read 1984.

I think that the kid had it coming, learning to respect authority is an important part of growing up and obviously, that was lacking here. Now you can always argue that you shouldn't need to treat kids like that, but actions and consequences.

In the end, I don't think that you should mess with security guards, but tell me. Is it right to go in hard like this? Against a kid?

EDIT: Okay, I can tell you what happend to the guard. The police looked into it and said fuck it, he didn't do anything wrong. Then this movie hit the interwebs and SL, the company the guard worked for, suspended the guard while the investigated the incident internally.

I agree. Security guards have a job which is often stressful, and there is no point winding them up because
1)This will happen
2)There actually is no point- really, can anyone think of one?

Tbh, I have zero tolerance for stupid kids doing stupid things.

Just a couple hours ago I was out helping my mom do some shopping for her birthday celebration tomorrow, and some little kid suddenly collapses behind us when we're standing in line on the way out.

So, my mom and I, being the immediate closest people, turn our attention to her and try to find out what the heck happened, being genuinely afraid that she might have had an epileptic incident or whatever else.

As it turns out, this eleven-year-old was just out having some fun with her two friends, playing a Truth or Dare variation, and she chose Dare...

FUCK was I pissed.

I mean, seriously, what the hell is wrong with kids these days?

Begs the question, why did they grab the kid in the first place, vandalism, shoplifting abusive behaviour?

They don't really do anything until he starts trying to lever off the guy's kneecap, which the guard is having none of (and good on 'im, getting kicked in the kneecap hurts).

That's kind of hilarious, dumb kid picks fight with security guards, gets ass kicked, world keeps turning.

No, the guard did not do the right thing. There was no reason to throw the kid down like that. Also was there no place they could've taken him, away from the public? Holding him there in the first place was a confrontation waiting to happen. Take him to the security office, or something and have his parent/guardian pick him up there.

The kid was being childish, which is the worst thing a kid can do. So yeah he deserved to be put into a timeout for acting up.

If you noticed he actually pushed on the security guards leg with his own. Guard probably thought he was trying to get away. Guard brings him to the ground and I agree it's what should of happened. Your to cooperate with security if your on property they have jurisdiction on.

Getting taught to not be a prick is best taught at an early age.

Just at the 2.00 minutes mark he starts kicking the guard. That is not acceptable. Doesn't matter if you are 12 or 36.

Taser and lock them up. Im all for hard punishment. Problem is today people treat kids like kids even thought they rob, kill and rape. In the UK you can be stabbed by a dumb 12 year old. Today some drug addict committed his 275 crime? Why arnt people put away after 5 crimes? This country is screwed.

Either way, he needed to be taught a lesson. Scared out of further crime. Also the parents shouldn't have a 12 year old running riot.

I have, and violent behaviour is not acceptable. Being young is not an excuse to kick security guards.

So? Respect authority and where is the parents? This bullshit knee jerk reaction to crime is why the UK is a wreck. Come down on kids early and they will think twice about committing further crimes.
