Poll: Sex or Gaming?

This is actually something of a tough one, or at least would be if I were really into tabletop games. But I'm assuming it's a choice here - either you get to play the game, or you get to sleep with the hot person of your choosing (i.e. guaranteed best outcome in both cases). If that's how it is, then the hot person (woman, in my case) takes the cake any day.

But if it's a choice between definitely have some fun playing a game with your buddies, and hoping/trying to get some tail with someone who's way out of your league and knows it, I don't know (say another buddy says he's out on town with two hot girls and wants you to join them for a drink, no guarantees but possibilities abound). Depends on the likelihood of sex, I suppose, and on just how awesome the average game night is.

That said, I'm not a big tabletop gamer (scratch that - I'm not one at all, barring a few Warhammer games), so yeah.

If i had already made plans with either side, i wouldn't cancel those plans.

Otherwise it would probably depend on how often i had the chance to see eitehr part.
If we could only find time for a game night once a month or something like that, i'd be mroe inclined to go for that, if i hadn't seen my girlfriend in a while, and couldn't just see her the next or the day after that i'd be more inclined to choose her.
But regardless of situation, it would be my friends and not the specific game that would have a chance of turning me that waym if it was tabletop night with a bunch of peopel i didn't know or cared about, it would be an easy choice.

There is alao the option of bringing the girl along and having a tabletop/orgy night... just saying.

Well since my wife runs our sessions generally...but really it's sex. So yeah I pick sex. Sex is good sex is great. Also since we are in an open marriage and she's bi, there's always the option of another woman being involved and I would miss funerals for a threesome.

Oh my god something similar happened to me just a while ago. Except I was DMing for my close friends (two of which were leaving soon for 5 weeks), and my now-boyfriend asked me out for a second date the same day.

Tabletop gaming i can do any day of the week, as my friends aren't too far away. Sex on the other hand trumps that as its a lot harder to get regularly, even with a steady girlfriend. ATM, she prefers shopping.

It depends really.
If the girl is already my girlfriend and we've been having sex, I'd go to the game.
If the girl is someone I've only just started dating, and this is going to be an important milestone in our relationship I'll go with the sex.

Since the situation in question sounds more like the second I answered sex.

I had to laugh at my friend earlier who found himself in a predicament. He could not decide if he should attend a table top game at a friend's house or if he should hang out with his crush, a hot girl who was ready to have sex with him at that point in their relationship.

Now maybe its just me but I am pretty sure that if any of his friends would have had this same choice, none of them would have shown up to play the game that night. So help me out escapists, is sex as important to men as society makes it seem or would you choose the game over the girl?

Tried to edit the sex option to allow for straight or homosexual preferences, didn't work so just pretend that it says gender of your choice, instead of member of opposite sex. Cheerio!

Well, I guess it really comes down to how much sex you actually have on a regular basis. Like, if you're your typical kind of playboy then I guess you already enough sex in general to "take a break" from time to time to go do something else.
A brilliant example of this is the Bavaria commercial of Hugh Hefner and how, when surrounded 24/7 by beautiful playboy bunnies, all he really begins to care about is being with his mates.
Also, the thing you edited to the poll came through. It sometimes does take a while for the site to pick up on it though, so you just have to be patient.

I'm an 18 year old male, I guess I just don't understand these things...

You see, sex is great and all, but it lasts about, what, 5 minutes. Maybe 10 if you've worked on your endurance. But a good game of Twilight Imperium 3rd ed with 6 players can last up to 12 hours. It's all about which choice gives you more bang for your buck.
