I don't really like the term "straight" as the definition of straight is "True, in keeping with the facts" as is homosexuality is false and untrue. I prefer the term "Heterosexual".

On a side note, I believe everyone is bi-sexual, the it isn't about naming what we are, but where we fit on a spectrum between fully heterosexual and fully Homosexual. I just don't think anyone sits at either extreme 100%, but instead are just furhter down that path than others

This might just be my idiocy speaking, but I still fail to see any drastic differences between bisexuality and omni/pansexuality. Any chance you fine fellows could elaborate?
As the Wikipedia page says about omni/pansexuality:
Pansexuality (also referred to as omnisexuality) is a sexual orientation, characterized by the potential for aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire towards people, regardless of their gender identity or biological sex. Some pansexuals suggest that they are gender-blind; that gender and sex are insignificant or irrelevant in determining whether they will be sexually attracted to others. For others, an individual?s sex, gender expression, or gender identity can be a key factor of attraction, despite the pansexual individual?s wide range of sex and gender attractions. As defined in the Oxford English Dictionary, pansexuality "encompasses all kinds of sexuality; not limited or inhibited in sexual choice with regards to gender or practice."
And compared with bisexuality:
Bisexuality is often described as attraction to both men and women. Pansexuality has been described as a "means to skip the binaries and essentialism of 'bi'."

Some people assert that bisexuality means attraction "regardless of gender", or "more than one gender". These definitions match the definitions of pansexuality and polysexuality, respectively.

Homo- means same, hetero- means other, bi- means two, and pan- means all. -Sexual means sexual attraction. Therefore, homosexual means same (gender) sexual attraction, heterosexual means other (gender) sexual attraction, bisexual means two (gender) sexual attraction and pansexual means all (gender) sexual attraction.
Basically, bisexual means only attracted to males and females, while pansexual means attracted to males, females, transsexuals and so on.

I understand the difference, but it seems to me a little redundant having a whole other group of people placed into one sexuality for something that seems to only diverge from bisexuality in that it accommodates those that are transgender.
Maybe. But I don't know or think if someone that's bisexual, and just that, would consider dating someone that's transsexual or even a hermaphrodite. Hence, omni/pansexuality.

Don't take my word for it, though. I was straight most of my life, then realized I was bi, and then found out I am pansexual. Just need gay in that and I'll have been everything, it seems. X3

I'm not terribly well versed on the nuances (I still think there isn't a difference between omni and pan), but there's a subtle implication in pansexuality that it's that you don't care what junk there is, you're attracted to personalities/other stuff gender can't mutate. Bi implies you qualitatively make a difference. Of course, this then changes once you isolate each term from the other. That's just how I've understood the difference anyhow.

I know the sample size isn't very big yet and I know some of you are substituting pan for bi, but geez! 8 bi-males? I don't think I've ever (knowingly) seen that many in one place before, Pride Parade notwithstanding. Who'd a thought that we were so common in the video game circuit? (Of course, attracting a generally young crowd, those likely to view the forums are likely to care about what comes out and so would generally be more liberally minded, so there is that going for it... but still)

I don't know if it's the new 'in' thing, but it is just how people are. They realize they are omnisexual, just like I found out I was pansexual instead of bisexual. And yes, there might be a chance that many bisexuals haven't considered the possibility that they are omni/pansexual.

Ah, right, right. How could I forget asexual/nonsexual? Though I can't imagine myself not interested in sex at all. But if I were to get the full set, then I just need to be full on gay, no interest in females at all, and then asexual/nonsexual. Perfectly happy with being pansexual, though. :3

Exclusively lesbian.

And have no issue at all with what consenting adults get up to in bed (or on the floor, or swinging from the ceiling...). I'm sorry that the OP got some verbal for being bi. Personally, I embrace all under our GLBTQ umbrella and do not approve of the way that people are described to have behaved and would never conduct myself that way.

There are different levels of bisexuality, and if we're being as technical as this post seems to be, I feel as though we should differentiate. There's bi-straight (attracted to both sexes but leans toward the opposite sex), bi-bi (attracted to both sexes equally) and bi-gay (attracted to both sexes but leans toward the same sex).

I'm a bi-straight female, and while I haven't dated a girl, I have had "hand sex" and oral sex with a few. I might just tend towards guys because of how I was raised (Irish Catholic), but it's hard for me to find girls who are interested. I tend to have the worst gay-dar ever.

Uncertain, though I have had girlfriends but I was like 10 at the time so I don't think that counts <.< I don't see how I can know at my age (I'm 14).

Straight with NO experimenting. So yeah, no poll option for me. ;.;

Also, once again. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too wordy for a "what do you want to bang" thread. Especially since we currently have like 15 of these right now.
The wordiness was kind of the point. Aside from wanting to get a few unpleasant experiences off my chest (and wondering whether younger folk still get that crap - I was so amazed and proud to find out that a younger bro of a friend of mine was openly gay at highschool, when I was at school it literally would have been impossible - fear of actual death would be reasonable and expulsion a certainty. I almost cried with happiness in finding that teens at that same school, a decade later, could be openly gay). I also wanted to be ultra-specific with a few things.

So yes, with so many of these posts lately, the wordiness was part of what made this one different.

Heterosexual, but strongly disinterested in sex. Men are cute, but I'd never have sex with them. Women are hot and I like /looking/ at them, but not actually doing anything. Go figure.
