For best results, use shampoo and then conditioner.
Otherwise just use shampoo. Your hair will probably suffer, but it'll still be clean.

If you ask me, doing it any other way means you're an idiot. Especially if you use JUST water. That doesn't get anything actually clean.

Getting away from HOW to wash your hair;
Of course, having dreadlocks and some other hairstyles means that you absolutely must make sure not to get your hair wet to any significant degree, so there are a few exceptions to which not washing your hair is acceptable/required.

Also, you hardly have any hair to wash if you're bald now, do you?
I've actually heard good things about only washing your hair with water. It gets out the dirt, dead skin, etc. while preserving the hair's natural balance of oils. At the start it gets oily because your hair is so used to being chemical-ed to death by shampoo, but after it adjusts the hair takes on its natural state (which is apparently often-times better looking than with shampoo/conditioner).
If that's true, that sounds pretty intriguing. I still probably wouldn't do it, though; I have long hair, and it feels really nasty when it starts getting greasy again.

I try to wash my hair every day, or every other day at least, otherwise I feel really dirty. I know it's not the best thing for hair, but I'll start scratching at my scalp and it'll start bleeding.
I use both shampoo and conditioner or I'd never get a brush through it. All of this keeps it nice and shiney.

Yeah, I can't stand going two days without washing my hair, so the prospect of feeling it like that for a month or so is cringe-worthy for me. It's interesting the effect that shampoos (and other chemical cleansers) have had on our bodies, though.

I just use shampoo.

To be brutally honest, I don't know what conditioner does. I wash my hair with shampoo every time I shower so around once every 2-3 days depending on activities that happened.

Usually: Clean body -> Clean face -> Shampoo hair -> rinse hair -> leave shower.
The whole process takes between 10 and 30 minutes depending on how long I stand mindlessly in the shower for.

Does anybody else mindlessly stand there?
Didn't take you for a shower person. I thought you took troll-bloodbaths (seeing as how you are in the spanish Inquisition)

I usually sing when I shower. But I like to take baths more. AND, I take baths WITH MY LAPTOP! So 1 out of 5 times when your talking to me on the inquisition-chat I'm in the bathtub. Bet you didn't see that one coming.

Both. Then I straighten it. Then sometimes wax.

I don't like short hair, I really don't suit it, which means I have medium hair. But medium or longer requires more care, otherwise you just look a mess, and it gets all knotted, matted, maybe even dry and brittle to the point of falling out..

I take care of my hair, and it remains soft and bouncy. S'all good.

And I usually wash it every other day when I have a shower, otherwise it gets greasy and that feels fucking awful. There's nothing worse than the feeling of having your hair plastered to your scalp.

What is this conditioner you speak of?
I only know of shampoo.
I'm a pretty simple guy...

Hm, it seems several people don't wash their hair at all, and one guy actually only uses conditioner.

Oh, internet.

I tend to use only water actually, my hair seems to benefit from irregular washing and becomes much more manageable and weirdly... less greasy.

Tend to use Shower Gel to wash my hair when i do though. That Shower Gel really is the Duct Tape of the Bathroom world, seeing i use it to wash myself, wash my hair, and as shaving cream (shaving in the shower works for me), it's really just a shame you can't use it to clean your teeth.

Apart from hardware, and by that i mean... beard trimmer, razor and toothbrush... you don't really need much more than Shower Gel, Toothpaste, Deodorant and if you are feeling ritzy, some Aftershave.

I really don't get why companies are trying to sell cosmetics to men, i mean, i'm personally baffled at how many different types of body scrub you need to scrub with if you're female, and why it having apricots makes the foggiest different.

One of the greatest skills a bloke has is the ability to be asleep one minute, and ten minutes later, had a shower and had breakfast, and that doesn't leave me any time to moisturise my elbows.
Wait, you can use shower gel to shave your hair? I did not know that...

I use both, when possible. It makes my hair feel soft.

...and yes, I feel 20% less manly saying that.

Dry =/= natural. Just throwing that out there.
My hair isn't dry, it's fluffy and oily even though I hardly ever use conditioner. I only use shampoo every other day. But I do have this oil serum which you use in dry hair or semi-wet hair, you only put one or two drops of it on your palm and then go through your hair with your hands. It makes your hair healthier and gives it a nice shine :3

To be honest, if you had a brutally hot shower, you don't really even need Shower Gel as Shaving Gel either.
I can't stand brutally hot showers. My skin is sensitive...

I use shower gel for both body and hair, I don't buy shampoo or conditioner.
Please add a "shower gel"-option to the poll.
