Fair enough, to each their own. I whole heatedly understand if someone does not like a system, what infuriates me are the bullshit statements used to trash talk it. This goes for any system I just feel strongly more towards to PSP as it's the most misunderstood in my opinion. If people give reasonable and logical reasons as to why they do not prefer it, good, but I can't stand it when someone just says something stupid that bears little truth.

Part of the reason the PSP is not as big as the DS is mainyl due to the fact that it's new. Nintendo has 3 generations of hand helds behind them earning them their place and reputation. It's one they rightfully deserve, but the PSP is new, it's actual competition and it seems people don't like alternatives. Developers will developer more for the DS because it's more wide spread, more popular and they know Nintendo and their systems make money. Hell if I were a dev I would have my reservations about developing for the PSP myself hence why the PSP does not have a zillion games for it.

Then there are people who get so hyped up about it that they go in thinking it's the god machine. They are so enthusiastic about it when they have it that it quickly wears off. This is the problem with over expectations and why I believe many people seem to hold a resentment towards it. I have had mine for almost a year, a good collection of games that is still ever growing, and as a gamer I look at it in a critical sense that makes me see that it's a system, it does what I like it to do and the few games it has for it bear quality that I prefer over countless game boy games. The setting of high expectations is both the fault of sony and the consumers and that is how I see the negativity towards an overall great system that has as much potential as the DS and wii.

Well thats my two cents, I will continue to defend any and all game systems from trivial arguments that hold little water, but the PSP as my portable of choice will have a special place in me. If I had the cash I would have a DS too but what 10 games I miss out on the DS I feel compensated by the one PSP game that greatly peaks my interest.

Nice to see someone stick up for the thing without sounding like a fan boy or something. I've said most of that stuff in the past but...good show all 100% logic and fact.
