So at my local GAME The Orange Box is going for £12 for PS3, should I buy it? On the one hand,It's cheap and I've been interested in it for a while but on the other hand I've heard some bad stories about porting issues and how the PC version is vastly superior(P.S, My PC isn't good for games and I don't own a 360)
so what would you do?

EDIT: Just to put this out here, I haven't been waiting 3 years on this decision, it's just Portal 2 is coming soon and I thought I should play the original portal(along with some other valve games at a low price) before buying the sequel

I've heard very bad things about the PS3 port for it however if that's your only means to play it, get it. You'll probably still have played a lot more for a lot worse games.

The PS3 version was the worst version, it wasn't even ported by Valve, but by some other EA developer.

Don't do it man! Save yourself the grief.

To be honest, you just need the Orange Box in your life BUT I would definitely recommend it for the PC over the PS3 and I am much more of a console gamer than a PC gamer. Even so, just buy it. Whether you get it on PC or PS3 actually makes only marginal difference. I have played Portal on a PC and a 360 and although the PC was better, the 360 version was just fine.

No, if you buy it at all, you buy it for the PC.
I doubt there are still enough people playing TF2 online to fill one map and I heard it is littered with bugs.
If your PC isn't up to it, upgrade it.
The hardware that was considered high-end when The Orange Box came out is probably really cheap right now.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
if you have the capability then buy it for the pc but if the ps3 is all you got then go ahead, really tho valve gives the pc gamers the most since neither console was really setup for all the dlc they like to give out and the console ports were handled by a 3rd party so they are of questionable quality

Just get it for computer! It can even be on Macs! It's really easy to run too, and it'll be a million times better.

I would say try to get it for PC.
If not, then 360.

I am a PS3 and PC fan-boy myself, but this is were i even know that the ps3 is the worst version.

I would get anyway, but don't expect to play TF2. And i don't know how the others will be.

If you can't get it for PC or 360 then yes! You have to get it since it's great value and damn good even for full price.

Here are the versions compared to each other: PC > 360 > PS3

No no no.

And too bad too, they just had the Orange Box on sale on Steam. PC version of course, and the best of the three.

I play TF2 daily on the PS3 so I'm going to be a little biased in its favour. Are modders a problem on the PC version?
If not then go for that (even though you'll be missing out on my charming company) as they can be very annoying on the PS3 and my mates who have it on the PC sneer at me as a consoltard.

No. If your computer can only run the bare minimum requirements, get it anyway off of Steam. It has the best version of Team Fortress 2 BY FAR. Half Life and Portal are decent for consoles, but get it for PC because of TF2. Not to mention that I think that first person games play much better on PC than on consoles in general...

Damit, too slow, Steam had it for £5 yesterday.

If you can wait, I'm sure it'll be in the xmas Steam sale for PC for like £5 again however, the PS3 one is as nothing compared to the PC one :D

Especially when you compare the joys of TF2!

listen, Most of you have just said'no, don't buy it on PS3, PC only' even though I've stated that the PC is simply not an option, now I can understand if the PC version was like the second coming compared to the PS3 version, but all I can see in difference is some framerate issues and a worse community for TF2(which is probably the only game I'm not entirely interested in)
