I played WoW a while just for the fun, and I can tell you, I enjoyed it.
I had to quit though, because I ended up broke and my friends quit too, but I wonder if I'll give it a try when Cataclysm is released. Why the hell not?

Try it again, do something you know you liked in that game, if you don't have fun, you can just cancel. That's what I'd do if I reactivated my account and got bored quickly.
[SUB]Damn, my post was messy, but hopefully you'll understand what I said. :)[/SUB]

IF you truly mean what you say, that you don't stay up 24/7 playing WoW and fapping then I guess you COULD go back if you want to but I would advise you to actually go buy yourself a game that's good instead, for example Portal. I'm not saying WoW is a really really really really bad game I'm just saying I don't like it... At all. So all you fat freaking WoW fans out there who are thinking: "I'm going to answer this guy and say WoW doesn't suck and infamous sucks just because you say it's good and say WoW sucks!" DON'T! Because I really don't care. Anyways, it seems I'm a little off the subject here, if you really like(d) WoW and enjoy(ed) doing the same thing over and over then go ahead.

PS: I don't want you to think I hate you I just want you to know I hate WoW.

NO, WoW is shit now, raids are too easy, pvp is too shit, and the dungeon finder tool ruined everything.

According to an add-on? Cause that;s crazy numbers right there :p

I'd wait 'till Cataclysm, tbh, and continue on your 80, and maybe roll a new character to experience new Azeroth ^^
Is it really? On my realm, Mal'ganis 5.3k GS is only passable.

But then again Mal'ganis is the most elitist of any realm I have ever played on.
I dunno, I'm on Emerald Dream (European) and 3.3k pretty much means you're done with ICC 10 man. Using http://wow-heroes.com/ anyway. The only time I've seen numbers like that has been with an add-on from Curse.com

Go figure.

Compared to vanilla WoW/TBC, WoW is pure shit now.

On WoW heros I am only a 2795 idk if that is good...?

I'm not saying it hasn't ever been good to some people. It's just that I played it some time back I don't know how long ago but it was pretty way back and it was just grind grind grind. And later my friends started playing it so I thought to myself why not let's try it again. And guess what, it hasn't changed at all. It's still grind grind grind and more grind... I can understand THAT people enjoy the game but I can't understand WHY...

Variety is the spice of life. For that $15, you could rent 2 completely different titles instead of grinding in a generic fantasy setting populated by borderline sociopaths.

*ahem* Perhaps I could help you in this dilemma, because, you see, I had the exact same problem about half a year ago. I quit Wow last year around this time because once I hit level cap, things got amazingly boring. And I realized all that grinding for that promised light at the end of the tunnel (ie End game raiding) wasn't all that it was cracked up to be and I was dealing with self obsessed snobs who wouldn't raid with me because they'd thrown away more hours of their life getting virtual pieces of armor.

Months past, and my friend, who was still way into it, wouldn't stop berating me with pleas to come back. Finally, I caved. I bought another month of membership and started playing again. So ignoring my previous bad experience, I decided it was time to get serious about getting gear. I spent literally 12 hours to get a pair of epic shoulders. And that's when it hit me. This was the game amounted to. The armor. All the damn hours wasted just to get the damn armor. What happened when I finally had the armor I needed? I'd be bored IN GAME. Nothing to do. I cancelled without the month even being up.

Anyway, sorry for rambling, but here's the thing: All games are pointless but WoW seems to really like to make you feel like what you're doing is pointless. Atleast in Single player RPGs there's an end. You feel accomplished. It's what you're working towards. There's no end in WoW. Or any MMO for that matter. Just endless grinding, endless questing. The same 5 fucking dailies for the same crappy emblems for the same crappy armor. It's not worth it. It's just not worth it.

My advice is find yourself a new way to be entertained. Like reading, I am addicted to books now. Might I suggest The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks? Superb. Or at the very least just find a different game to play.

That's my two cents. Do with it what you will.

You are a true saint... I feel like I was visited by god when reading this. You are the smartest guy in the history of internet. All I have to say is this... Thank you, and I'm so sorry you didn't realise all of that before you reached level 80 or w/e the crap it is nowadays. It must feel horrible to know that you wasted all that time getting to level 80 in a damn mumorpuger.

I voted yes, having quit and gone back (around 6-7 months later) it's different, but I'd suggest mixing it up, play a different Faction, and a different Class it's more like starting over and if you've only ever played 1 character at 80 no wonder you got bored, I love my Ex-Druid main, but I could never keep on her.

Also if you like DPS but have only done ranged, try Melee, or Healing, or Tanking, don't just go from Warlock to Mage, Retadin to Fury warrior, properly change your class role faction and main ;)

Your not going to get a non-biased poll here OP, too many people on the Escapist still buy into the whole "lolololol WoW=no life" stupidity. (Most of whom have never played the game)

As for my input, the obvious answer is your most sensible option, the "try it and see" one. After all, you said you enjoyed it. Now you have had a 3 month break, you may enjoy it again.

EU that add-on is seen as completely irrational and unreliable :p
2.7-2.8k isn't quite good enough for ICC 10, but you could do it if you were a damn good player and in a guild. Wouldn't get you into pugs tho xD
