That's pretty intelligent reasoning. I admit that your logic is sound, but I still wonder why he won't webcam.

Well, all the Norwegians in the thread have said that the guy's excuse checks out, that Norwegians are, in fact, ashamed of their accent. Of course, if he's fat he could be self-conscious about being on camera at all. In my first post, I cited that at 16 I avoided cameras like the plague anyway and that was during the days when kids -wen't- being jailed for taking pictures of themselves. Honestly, there's any number of completely legitimate reasons for someone to not want to get on camera. To this day I still don't own a webcam. I just don't see the point in them, and I'm not even that particularly fat or self-conscious.

Apparently, there is a slightly greater chances of paedophiles being (heterosexual) females, as oppose to the male stereotype. The probable reason for this is that women are typically more likely to go into a career in which they are in close proximity with children (like teaching, baby sitting etc.). Add on to this the cultural perception that "males are always up for it", then female teachers may think less of coming on to their older, pubescent pupils.

True, but profiling is currently based on data collected about convicted criminals. The problem with the profiles is that female pedophiles generally get away with lesser sentences, or none at all, because of social prejudices. Male victims are less likely to report the abuse because the social perception is that they're not "victims", but rather lucky for gaining sexual experience, and that a 12 year old boy who has sex is fortunate while a 12 year old girl who has sex is a victim.

Even when presented with a complaint Judges tend to assign lesser sentences to women and so the profiles aren't updated. I agree with you completely, and there's a movement within profiling to adjust the profiling system to account for this bias, but unfortunately it's meeting with a lot of resistance.

well if your going with your parents then i don't see the problem really but try the webcam thing i mean if your gonna see him in person then whats the point of no webcam and it seems pretty electorate/pointless/difficult to keep up the same persona for 3 years just to get one girl. i don't know maybe he uses that account for other people too. either way go with your parents maybe plan some other things to do in case he is a creeper and i think you might be able to eat whale in Norway so try some of that.
