the fact that your social life revolves around getting plastered means you have a much bigger problem than just feeling like you're going to throw up when you drink. Advice: Get a new social life.

Definatly sounds psychological. You're probably worried that something is wrong with drinking alcohol and your mind is trying to help by making you feel nausea. Happens all the time after a long night of booze for me, I can't stomach it for a couple of days.

Alcohol's pretty poisonous, you can't get plastered every night, for example.

You should either visit a doctor or simply go teetotaller, for just a while, mind you.

OK.

I've just come back from a night out "on the lash" (this means drinking lots of alcohol, foreigners) and I was unable to consume any alcohol without feeling like I was about to puke. I made it to about 3 pints before it was a severe effort to actually drink anything. As I student this worries me as most of my social life revolves around getting "plastered" (inebriated) and I was once able to do 6 pints easily and make my 9am lecture.

I have been in this state ever since I left myself severely worse for wear on new years and ever since I have been unable to stomach alcohol. Do you reckon this is serious? Is it psychological or physical? I want your opinion!
I think you know your body better yourself than a random perso, but in my opinion there's nothing strange in that, if I got it right. Although that is a quite blurry story. Try changing to different beers or other beverages, if it's just a specific drink that doesn't suit you anymore. I can't drink some alcoholic things anymore, or not as much as I used to before. Usually can't stand some of them because of certain nights' "overdosing" or they've been mixed with something awful.

And some days you can't drink at all, I've felt that too. You've eaten something bad, too much or nothing in a long time, hang-over or some other random reasons make drinks go down with an odd difficulty. Those aren't that common, but have happened to me sometimes. So basically, I'd say you just need to wait for a couple days or try different beverages for a while.

edit: thanks for all the responses guys, though I was hoping for something slightly more helpful than "stop drinking" and "you have issues". The main problem I see with going to the doctor is that I think I'll just get told not to drink any more and that's not really an option in my opinion. I love getting wasted :p . Plus I'll hardly get any sympathy with "I can't binge drink any more and be a drain on the NHS". As I suffer no ill effects when I don't drink I think I'm going to leave it a little longer and see how I do. Plus it's such a hassle going to the doctors I can't be bothered.
M8 Please listen to me - I am a Med student and I am TELLING YOU that approximately over 30,000 deaths a year in the UK could have been AVOIDED had people chosen to tell their doctors. If your concerned always take the time to visit the doctor.

Otherwise you fall into my analogy:
"I know for a Fact 100% there are people who can run across motorways - no matter how fast or how many cars there are and not get hit. The question is are you one of them?"

i.e. don't risk it

i think that you have developed an adverse reaction to alcohol, mabye you should stop for a while and see how that feels. or mabye stop trying to get shitfaced every night because your liver is crying out for help
That was a hilarious mental image of his liver.

Yeah, your liver is deciding whether suicide by bullet or suicide by fire is the best option. Looks like your social life is over, enjoy being the shut in freak like the rest of us!
or mabye he could take things in moderation and still go out with friends, just not get hammered
