Another one of these threads? Bloody hell.

Well if this troll bait I'm biting.

If you really beleive the crap you've wrote about it burning a hole in your pocket, stops you from socialising with 'normal' people and screwing around with your insecurity then why are you even asking people this question? I mean for crying out loud you've obviously made your mind up about it.

Also: if you can't keep up a social life and play video games then you've got problems that can't be placed with video games.

I tried wow i felt like i was Cheated and taken advantage of the player base is huge but you dont have a chance in hell to find some one that actually is playing with you Cause they can they play cause in the end you have some thing to give them whatever that thing is i dont know but a few weeks after i started i quit Its was that bad in my oppinion ..of course i have the twitchy finger syndrom if your looking for a good MMO though play 4story i mean its free and the player base is alot smaller than WOW butthe players are nice kind and actually will help from kindness instead of greed oh and to level up its not a grind its the closest thing from feeling like your Not grinding but at the same time at the very Core you will be at a little did i also mention its very PVP intensive. I quit cause after a few updates the game got to advanced for my machine ... some down things though Is lagg and the DO YOU WANT MONEY CRAP but the only game i truely endorse as a Good game would be mabinogi its a good mmo

I miss a no option that isnt a "lol nolifer" option.

But no, I quit because lvl 80 raiding plain old sucks.

I can't take you seriously because of the outrageously condescending way you are treating WoW players. You admit you like it and its fun, but phrased your entire post in a way to make out that everyone who plays it has some horrible flaw.

Stop jumping on the anti-WoW bandwagon and form your own opinions, sheeple.

No, you have done well to quit, I havent tried it but Ive seen it destroy lives. Enjoy the sunshine, get an xbox 360, and even maybe the company of a moderately unnatractive girl. The road to life is ahead of you. Take a ride.
Condescending much?

Wow won't necessarily eat your life, not everyone alienates themselves from society.

I wouldn't buy it though. To me, it's paying for the chore that is leveling.
Mwuah! I know, but the cliche dude going through WoW withdraw does fit a certain describtion.
Yeah, he does seem to fit into the cliche, i'll admit.

It's definitely a cliche for a reason; quite a few of my friends are trying to recruit me to WoW, but then I see the juddering wrecks they become when they stop playing.

If you like grinding, try poker. At least there your skill matters, and you can cash out your hard-grinded winnings, instead of feeling like a sucker when the next patch comes out with new trinkets that are better than the platemail codpiece you just spent a month of your life getting. WoW takes you nowhere.

I play it, and I'm just leveling so I can see what the high-level raiding is like. Or just what Outlands is like. All my friends tell me its amazing.

in all honesty, i didn't like your poll, needs a "depends option"
and I say that, because it does depend, on the followng:
Time
Money
Enjoyment

I gotta admit Ive started a few characters on my buddy's computer but I cant get into it, its not my thing, and it seems most WoW diehards are total dicks to new players. I like rpg's but MMO's arent me thing, I like my rpg's to be a lonely experience, crawlin around a dungeon alone for a few hours.

Tell me, do you enjoy time consuming repetitive unrewarding un-challenging work you have to pay for?

There are others like you just remember, WoW is just a drug without a high. If you all band together you can bring this abomination down.
Well do you? If the answer is yes then great, you play games if the answer is no then you don't and I see no reason for you to remain here long-term.(I'm sorry I'm being a dick you're post just kinda got on my nerves).

I hope to god that's some kind of joke.

Start playing WOW again? Seriously? WOW takes up so much time, you could be making friends in real life or getting a job or doing something fun NOT WORLD OF WARCRAFT. I used to play WOW all the time till I said to myself "Why am I spending days of my life on something that doesn't matter." That's not to say WOW can't be fun if you play it once in a while instead of going all night that would be ok but still I can't see why you would want to play WOW again.

If you stopped playing an MMO, you stopped FOR A REASON. I have. There's nothing wrong but MMOs get in the way of life sometimes, you can play if you can manage your life and an MMO at once... otherwise don't try.
What they said. Wow is great in moderation and WOTLK is a fun expansion. The problem arises if you have nothing in the real world to do. Wow doesnt solve any problems it just puts them on infine hold. Its nearly summer! Get a bike, go out and about, do something that involves people in reality! If you don't have the self control to treat it as a game then no stay away from it.
P.S Even as a player of Wow Ozzy Osbourne advertising it seems truly depressing (should have seen it coming after he sung with his harpy whelp Kelly)

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Hell no.

I played WOW for a year and a half. I finally got a level 80 in March and I finally realized that I cannot progress any more and still have fun with it. I quit and never looked back. Yes, it was fun. Yes, it would be nice to have something else BESIDES a rogue as a level 80, but I don't feel like putting in that much time again.

Don't go back. Occupy yourself with JRPGs and regular RPGs. You'll do fine.

If you have a fun time playing it, and you don't have much to do otherwise, then yeah, play it again. Its a decent game, and worth the money if you like it.
If you only play it because you feel a sort of guilt about not leveling up some numbers, or you keep getting pulled into staying up late and playing it despite important things like homework and training, then fuck no, stop wasting your money and time.

Honestly, after being an avid player for the... beginning of it. It's not worth it, i'm soooo bored of it. my guild is being retarded so we're not raiding and i don't like to pvp. I don't leave my guild because i helped make it and am an officer so yeah.

I know this post is almost 2 years old but I just wanted to give my opinion about World of Warcraft or any other MMORPG.

1) MMORPG friends aren't really friends. You just have same goals. More of coworkers relationship. The moment you "fail", they don't even want to know you.

2) You will never catch the dragon. What you think you have now, going to be vendor trash every 3 months.

You will always come back. They always come back.

Oh wait this is not the WoW forums. Nevermind.
