Poll: Should I study or wing it?

I have to write a final argument for a debate tomorrow in class. I was thinking about writing it but then I assumed I could just wing it. What should I do? What would you do in my situation?
BTW: The grade I get for this accounts for 20% of my grade.

Study. There's no real reason not to - if you can do well enough by winging it, you'll do even better by studying. If you can't do well enough, then you should still be able to do somewhat better with studying.

Why would you be against nuclear power? You know it's tons more efficient and safer than it used to be? Nuclear energy is the future.

Prepare for it. If that means studying, then study. You don't want to fail just because you decided to be lazy. Also, since it's an argument, don't forget to talk about points why people may be for nuclear power and say how that part of the argument is flawed.

If it's for an English class (Hadn't noticed that with the original response) definitely write it, you're probably expected to hand something in as well as the debate. At least that's been my experience.

I think studying makes you feel better about the test more then anything. It's a mental thing. Yes, you absorb more information, but still not enough to be some kind of expert. Go over the material, and you won't stress out about it as much either.
