It would never work. Unless you cloned yourself, and then trained it to be exactly like you in every way

ffs, if you want muitplayer, go and play KOTR as ME is not a game that would fit such feature unless you wanted a shit game.

I'm totally against co-op for this. If they want to make co-op missions as paid DLC later, fine. But don't spend time making a game-mode that will only get played by 10% of the people. Even if they made it, I'd never play with anyone else for exactly this reason :

I love Co-Op, no seriously I love it.

That said Mass effect is a world based on what 1 person wants. Adding another person would kill that game.

Player 2: Hey you have been chatting for like 15 minutes lets do something!
Me: STFU I'm trying to Lay Ashley.
Player 2: You are so gay, and howcome I don't get to be Shepard? This is BS lets trade.
Me: STFU your ruining the immersion.
Player 2: Ashley is a stupid racist marine.
Me: No I love her! I'll kill you.
Player 2: Died in RL.
They have to completely redesign the game concept to make it work in co-op, in which case it won't be ME3. It'll be some other game, set in the same IP, pretending to be ME3. Which would be a shame... because they'd kill the franchise that way faster than NGE killed SWG!

Once ME3's out the door, they can create co-op games, sure. But ME1-3 is a story arc about Shepherd. Also known as me, myself, I. There can't be two of us, and damned if I'm playing second fiddle to some other dude in my own game!

Leave ME3 as it should be and exploit the franchise later. That is all.

Mass Effect itself shouldn't be co-op because it's all about Shepard and his/her choices. Maybe a spinoff game in the same universe.

Maybe limited co-op where other players control your allies instead of the computer when you're on a mission could work, though.

No no no no no! Leave the co-op stuff for SW:tOR thank you very much Bioware. Mass Effect is an intensly personal, well-woven, single player tale. I don't want it diluted with the addition of "MOAR PLAYERZ" just because that seems trendy at the moment.
Have some kind of multi-player compatible DLC if you are really that desperate for it.

No, it is a single player RPG series. If you want co-op play Halo, Call of Duty or Borderlands.

Yeah, I see that as happening too.
Also it's nice to see another person who is, or at least seems to imply that they are, a fan of Ashley. Good show, sir.

No, because then the "sex" scenes would be a bit awkward.
Indeed:

*cut to scene of Ashley and Shepard sleeping together*

Shepard: Ash I missed you so much, I love you!
Ash: I love you to, oh just shut up and kiss me!

*scene continues for a few seconds then stops*

Shepard: What's wrong?
Ash: I think there's someone.....

*awkward silence*

Friend: Hello.....

Yes, that would be very awkward.

So yes in all no I don't think that a co-op feature would be a good idea, especially in a game that is tailored to be central to the player's choices. I think every game of Mass Effect will be unique to each player's perspective of how things should go so ultimately I think it would be a game solely made for Single Player

EDIT: Sorry, mind dazed and I messed up the last word. Not very tactical Mister Vrex I must say!
