Scientifically proven that dolphins are sentient? Source, please. I've -never- heard this. Dolphins might be smarter than most animals, but as far as I know, we don't even know what -causes- sentience.

Define True Reason, anyway. You're asking us to provide something and then not telling us what you want, it's like you want veal but you tell us you just want 'The Perfect Meat'.
Source = Several years ago, cannot remember certainties and you have my apologies for that.

True Reason = The actual reason that humans are superior to animals, arrogance aside. Human achievements are only valuable to humans, we have nothing to compare them to.

I'm looking for something that proves/defines/whatever's why humans are better. It's not something easily described, I know, but for now the reason that humans are 'Better' is simply arrogance.

One argument I've heard before, is 'We have the ability of speech'. This is a flawed argument because I've never seen any animal ever that COULDN'T communicate with other animals, even species/species. Humans cannot really communicate with any creature outside ourselves.

Another argument is 'We have morals, while animals don't'. An animals moral code is non-existent simply because they haven't developed the need for them.
Humans need morals to tell us what's 'right and wrong' because we are the only species that chooses to hunt down and kill our own. Many animals, such as wolves, will kill intruders to their territory, and Lions will kill potential threats to their position, but there is a DEFINITIVE reason for each of those kills. There is no such thing as 'Murder' amongst animals.

We believe we are better based on what we've built, where we've gone, what we've done.
Animals have no indoor plumbing, no clothing, no electricity, no tools; yet they can survive.
Humans only survive by altering their circumstances. That is, admittedly, impressive but it's only a survival method.

We 'know' what causes sentience because humans base 'sentience' on what WE feel/learn/do/fear. Dolphins are the CLOSEST approximation to the human level that we've ever encountered, falling within the realm of sentience.

On another note. The 'Perfect Meat' is Bacon, that stuff is the BEST... Despite what the Bible says...
