Dude read the statment as a whole.

P.S. on my cousin's behalf, screw you?
Oh. I had just assumed that "who the hell cares" (as in to ask why anyone cares) would've been a question.

My mistake.

Yeah, to a reasonable degree. I don't spend any real extra time writing my posts, I naturally write properly and keep an eye on what I'm writing so I don't usually let any obvious mistakes through. Mistakes do still get through, of course, but on the whole the style is generally correct and doesn't take very long. Proof reading every post is a bit much to ask, but as long as you have a basic grasp of spelling and grammar you ought to be at least trying to respect the status quo of your particular haunts.

To an extent, yes. I'm okay with leaving out some grammar (such as periods and exclamation marks), but I'm not okay with Internet slang usage, such as typing "u" instead of "you".

But I won't flame someone if they use Internet slang; I don't really have any right to do so. It's merely an eyesore.

Can anyone give a good not to?

Didn't think so.
Why do people sometimes drop entire words? Where do all the missing words go? Are they in Cairo with all the missing luggage?

Preferably, yes. On forums and on the internet in general I say.

As long as the forum/users don't instantly think that they are talking about deep, intelligent issues just because they are using proper grammar.

This.

I've met too many people who think what they type/say is more important just because it is grammatically correct. A conversation about the shapeliness of a female's gluteus muscles is still a conversation about a chick with a nice ass.

I speak pretty decent englandish...

Really it doesn't bother me as long as the post is readable. I don't go for the perfect spelling and grammar grade with each post, but I try to keep it legible.

I think one should try to use as much proper grammar and spelling as possible if they don't want to be thought of as a moron. A typo here and there is fine, but you should still try to get most of it right

If you're making a joke sure.
But if you're actually typing like that all the time you should stop.
Like now.

I like to use proper spelling and grammar, but if someone spells something incorrectly by accident, I really don't care. I just don't like it when people say stuff like

"I tried dat, but dat don't work a'cause I don't hab Vista. Lulzohrzzz!"

Honestly, why would you want to sound like that? It's like typing in baby-speak, and I really can't stand it.

Considering that spell check utilities are readily available with modern web browsers; everyone should try their best to use it, and even proofread our posts as a last resort.

To an extent, yes. It's ok if you use lol, wtf, omg or any else like those. I remember I was once giving my intelligent opinion on Obama and Socialism and I wrote the word "to" instead of "too" so some Grammar Nazi quickly detected my spelling error and slapped a dunce cap on me and tossed me into a short bus heading to the Special Olympics.
