Poll: Should Tali's face be revealed?

No it makes absolutely no sense given how Quarians have no immune system. She should not be able to take off her suit at anytime nor be able to be a "physical" romantic option in that sense as it doesn't go with the lore of the game. It is really immersion breaking to think about it.

I would say no for essentially this reason:

Others have said no, saying that part of what makes Tali so appealing is that you can imprint your own version of what she looks like onto her, and that makes her a more versatile and appealing love interest than most. Also, they worry that if BioWare does decide to reveal her, she might not be what many people wanted her to look like, and would catch flak for it.

It's the mystery of the whole thing that makes her character so appealing. Take that mystery away and the appeal disappears. Besides, at this point nothing Bioware could come up with for her appearance could ever possibly meet with fan expectations, so they're better off leaving it a mystery.

No, because I don't care for Mass Effect and if they do, there will be a week (or maybe even a month) of people raging about what her face looks like, no matter what it is, and honestly, there is already too much about ME on this site now...

Not for the sake of seeing it but to demonstrate that with enough flaming from raging fans you can actually make the Bioware forums catch fire.

You don't need to show us her, but please show us a quarian so I know I didn't romance a disgusting space octopus(think cthulu face) in one of my playthroughs. I do have one for all the female love interests so no harm no foul, on to the Jack playthrough.

I think a great way to end the series would be for Tali to remove her mask, the 'camera' pans to her, but just before it gets to her face, the credits roll.

Lmao I tell you what would be great, if you chose to romance Tali and then just before the end some Krogan Husk grabs her masks and rips it off and you see her face for the first time. She starts screaming for help and Shepard runs to her but it's too late as bacteria eats her face while she's still alive. Ye, and Shepard is powerless to stop it. Major sadz moment ='(

My very basic knowledge of xeno-biology, biochemistry and having spent far too many hours playing the games...Quarians look more like turians than human (turians and quarians share the same amino-acids which is why the food is different in the bar, although how this translates into physical features required a massive suspension of belief on my part, and how that translates to turians and humans being able to breath the same air....and I need to stop thinking about this)

Quarian homeworld has been confirmed as a location to visit in ME3. Quarians aren't allergic to stuff in their homeworld, so there would be no reason for them to be wearing masks.

No they are at least slightly allergic, during Talis' loyalty mission she explains that taking back the home-world would require 60years to re-adapt vs taking a new planet which would require 600 years of adaption.

I personally think they should reveal her face. But only if you are romancing her.

I can kind of see why people wouldn't want her face to be revealed though, it adds to the mystery and appeal of her character.

Just want to say I'm not a talimancer, but I'm making this point anyway. I think revealing the face would just spoil it. There's no way they could make something that lives up to the air of mystery.

They'd fucking well better after what they pulled with the romance option, really that was the time to make the reveal. It's just perplexing to think that your avatar has had sex with someone without seeing their face.

i think that quarians faces should be DESCRIBED and not actually shown, so we can create our individual ideas about what they look like under there masks

This seems like a really good idea, but I doubt it will satisfy them "Show her face NOW" kinds of people.

As for when they do show her face, it would peobably take some time but I'll get used to it. The first time I met a krogan I was like "Holy Moses I bet God created you just to prove the fact that he has a sense of humor!", but I got used to them too. Then again, that's probably because there's krogan everywhere you go, and given that you will probably see the quarians face for less than 30 seconds, disappointment is almost guaranteed as there is no time to
get used to it. (unless you've got the free time and use it to Google "Tali face" all day long)

They could also show part of her face, or shaded or something, at least show some skin so we have something to build on with our imagination.

I'd like it if they showed the face of a Quarian and they're revealed to be androids. That would be great. I've always thought there was something a little off about their body shape and eye intensity.

While I personally don't think that they need to show Tali's face to make the game more immersive, I would like to see other Quarians faces. I found it kinda funny that amidst the explosions and shrapnel flying when you first meet Tali, not a single member of her group lost their helmet or had their suits breached. Bioware would not have to show a full Quarian face, but a damaged suit that shows part of a Quarian would help fill in what they look like.

I think it would ruin the mystery that makes the Quarians such a cool race, but if it was really done well, it'd be cool to see some other Quarians face.
